1) Use the Architecture/ Structure Project file
developed by you in Week 6 to 8.
Export the Revit architecture and structure model
to Navisworks Cache file following the export
settings discussed in class
PROCEDURE -
-GO TO REVIT FILE
created in ch 6
-goto file > export
-click on NWS FORMAT of file
and save it at desiganated
location .
-now follow this both architectural
and stractural files
-now open navis work software and
appent both file .
-RESLTS -
BOTH FILES EXPORTED IN NAVIS
WORK SOFTWARE
-PLESAE , have a look given below snips
for more clarity .
-2) Use Navigate Tool to walk around the model
and walk through the rooms created and record
your moving as animation in your Navisworks file
PROCEDURE -
-OPEN FILE IN NAVIS WORK MANAGE
-OPEN file .> Architectural NWC format
-goto viewpoint
-click on pan
-click on walk and walk around your
workspace model .
-click on ANIMATION > RECORD VEDIO
and click save view port and walk
around model.
RESULTS -
used navigate tool to walk around
the model
and walk through the rooms created and record
my moving as animation in your Navisworks file

-Go to view port tab
-click on realism tool
and select third person
-click on walk and move through
the building .

4) Embed both architecture and structure
*.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models
a. Run the Clash Detection Test
b. Study the clashes between the two models
c. List which of the clashes could be approved
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later)
e. List which of the clashes can be resolved
f. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks
PROCEDURE -
-Open Architectural model
-click append in home tab .
next
-click on home tab > clash detection
next
select add test
-and select one side stractural and
other side architectural
-select next surface
-and run test
-click on status and change status
to resolved or reviewed option .
RESULT
Create a clash detection test between the two models

5) Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks
prepare a schedule for the project developed
in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable
assumptions for task start date and
end date and simulate the task completion
as a visual simulation. Record it
and save the timeline simulation
to Navisworks file
PROCEDURE -
-GO to home tab .
-select time linear option
-click on selection tree in home tab .
-click on add task in timeliner
-add task as per work done
during construction time
-in here frist select type of work
during construction time and than go to
add task
-next add names of diffrent works
like
-footing
-column
-1st floor
-windows
-etc
-next enter dates and time of task .
-next click on simulate and record
vedio.
RESULT
-prepared a schedule for the project developed
in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable
assumptions for task start date and
end date.
- simulate the task completion
as a visual simulation. Record it

to Navisworks file
