AIM-
TO CARRY OUT MODELLING ,ANALYSIS ,AND DESIGN OF CONSTRUCTION DRAWING G+3 RCC BUILDING IN GUWAHATI , ASSAM .
INTRODUCTION -
ETABS IS an engineering software that caters multistorey design and analysis .
-SAFE is a art of 3d infinite element technology for structural drawing .
-here we design g+3 rcc building used etabs software next safe software for foundation design.
Procedure:
procedure -
intially open etabs than provide grid and storey information.
next we need to define material property , i.e. M25 and rebar fe 415 and fe500
now , define section properties i.e size of beam 400x500
, column 450 x650 and thickness of slab 150mm thickness etc
define > section property > slab properties , also define another slab for stair as one way slab .
after defining material next we need to place components .
1st we need to place frame ements and elements .
after that define load cases define > load cases > provide DL , LL , EQX+ , EQY -, Eqx- , Eqy, Eqy+, Eqy-
now we ,need to assign load according to code
-for we need to assign load according to code .
-LIVE LOAD = 2 KN/M^2 [ IS 875 PART 2]
BRICK WALL LOAD AS 3.5 KN /M
floor finishes as 1.5 kn/m^2
-Next assign the joints.
Also define the mass source and response spectrum function.

Then define the load combinations.then define load combinations
After that, we can carry out the analysis and design.
after that ,we need out analysis and design .
After that we need to check for story drift for RSx and RSy whether
it is within the limits or not as per IS1893.
we need check storey drift for Rsx and Rsy whether it is within the limits or not as per is 1893.
hense both storey drft are with in codal provision .
next carry out concerete frame design and extract design result for beams and column . both flexural and shear rebar .

the design result shows that 3 beams are failing in shear ,
hense indor make safe it safe we need to increase size of beam .
2 beams size have been changed to 450 x650 mm and for other beam size is kept as 450 x750mm.

column -longitudinal reinforcement
column -shear reinforcement
design is completed .
now export this base reaction and load condition in
f2k format for footing design using safe software .
now import the safe f2k file into SAFE SOFTWARE ,
hense all the reaction and loads have been imported to the software .
define material for concerete and rebars .
define slab properties
after using draw point option drop points for footing for each column .
now goto draw option and drafts points on footing for piles to devloped .
next provide pile ,using above option and material properties as pile 500.
then place , column along grid intersection .
define beam for tie beams
now , we need to assign springs at theses location where piles are placed .
for this we need to calculated spring constant .
-spring constant = AE /L = 196346. 5 X 25000/ 10000 = 490873 N/MM.
THEN ASSIGN SPRING CONSTANT.
now , go to load combition for servicevility limit and ultimate limit .
next ,we need to check the design result .
displacement values are with in limit , hense safe .
Reaction check :
punching shear values with in in range .
now , we need to design the strip .
-now , again carry the design .
-for strip layer A .
-FOR STRIP LAYER B
-HENSE , the design of footing is completed .
reinforcement drawing assosciated with the design is given below .
reinforcement details of column .
RESULTS -
MODELLING ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF G+3 BUILDING
HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT SUCESSFULLY , USING ETABS AND
THE FOUNDATION DESIGN PILE CAP AND PILE HAS ALSO BEEN
CARRIED OUT USING SAFE software and also include details of reinforcement .
