Aim - Creating Bar Bending Schedule, Different Door types, and Creation of Standard drawing templates using AutoCadCreating Bar Bending Schedule, Different Door types, and Creation of Standard drawing templates using AutoCad
Introduction
1. Almost all the drawings in this challenge are converted into blocks. For creating blocks use the command BLOCK (type B in the command line), give a unique name to the block, select the origin and the objects of which block is to be made and choose the other parameters approprately and click on the OK button.
2. For inserting a block, use the command INSERT (type I in the command line) and chose the block to be inserted.
3. The WBLOCK command saves the block as an AutoCad file which can then be used in any other AutoCad drawing.
4. The variable text should be inserted using the ATT (Define Attribute) command.
5. Blocks make the drawing more consistent, they are easy to work with, saves time and also reduces the file size.
DRAWING 1 -DRAWING TEMPLATES
Procedure:
1. Create the following template using the drafting tools.
2. Using MTEXT, give the required text. The font is taken as Times New Roman.
3. Create a block of the template made and give the name of the block as Custom1_titleblock
4. Create the following template as shown using the drafting tools.
5. Add the following text.
6. Create a block of the following template with its name as Custom2_titleblock
RESULTRESULT
The following 2 templates can be inserted as blocks into the drawing.
DRAWING 2 -DOORS TYPE FOR WAREHOUSE
PROCEDURE
1. Make the outer rectangle of the given dimension.
2. Make the following panels using polyline and thicken these lines using PEDIT.
3. Draw the handle and save it as a block with the name Door1.
4. Make the following door panel using the drafting tools.
5. Make a 4x3 rectangular array of it as shown.
6. Save this drawing as a block with the name Door2.
RESULT:
The two blocks of door types are made.
DRAWING 3 - LEGEND FOR ELECTRICAL SYMBOLS
PROCEDURE:
1. Make the following table
2. Draw all the symbols at one place and make block of each symbol with their respective names.
3. Insert the symbols at their respective position in the table drawn in step 1.
4. Using the FIELD command, insert the names of each symbol corresponding to their respective positions, change the font to Times New Roman and explode the text to remove the highlight.
5. Add the headings using MTEXT.
RESULT:
DRAWING 4 -TYPES OF DOORS FOR RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
PROCEDURE:
1. Make the door D1 as shown with the following dimensions.
2. Make the door D2 as shown with the following dimensions.
3. Convert the two doors into two different blocks.
4. Apply Hatching.
RESULT:
DRAWING 5 - BAR BENDING SCHEDULE
PROCEDURE
1. Make the following bar bending diagrams. Give the text using ATT command. Under the tag, NO. was written and default value was kept as zero.
2. Make the following table.
3. Add the text using MTEXT.
4. Insert the blocks and give all the attributes their respective values.
