Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1

RIB DESIGN

1) For Rib design followed following steps.

2) Calculation of different parameters like

a) rib thickness at tip = >0.75 =0.786 mm

b) depth of rib (5*t)= 12.5 mm

c) rib draft =0.5 degree

d) rib fillet thickness 0.25 =0.25 mm

e) rib root thickness =2.686 mm

f) spacing between two ribs (y/x=3/1)=(x=12.5/3)=4.108 mm

DRAFT ANALYSIS

1) First checked whether view was customized view parameter or not and material was selected. then gone through draft analysis tool selected compass and draged it over tooling axis. picked surface and shown different colour shades over surfaces.

2) Ideal draft angle for component is 3 degree. so over surfaces different colour variants was shown. green colour was shown for surfaces had draft angle greater tahan 3 degree. blue was shwon for surfaces had draft angle 0 degree and red for negative draft angle.
