Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
SCREW BOSS DESIGN
1) Drew positioned sketch of screw boss and paded it in part workbench and drafted it with 0.5degree.
2) Drew sketch of ribs and paded it and drafted it with 0.5 degree. then union trimed with screw boss and assembeled in main body.
3) Deactivated screw bosses for while
DOG HOUSE DESIGN
1) Extracted base surface and drew sketch for dog house. sweeped it in tooling axis direction with drafted 1.5 degree and offseted base surface and trimed with sweep. gave thickness of 2 mm outside.
2) Extracted base surface, offseted it and splited with thick surface in part workbench. created side core axis just unhided point over tooling axis and created line through that point in Y direction and further drafted inside with 0.5 degree.
3) Took offseted base surface of class A and extracted and offseted inside surfaces of thick surface. trimed base and extracted thick surfaceand gave edgefillet of 0.5 degree. assembled dog house in main body and activated screw bosses.
DRAFT ANALYSIS OF SCREW BOSS AND DOG HOUSE
DRAFT ANALYSIS WITH TOOLING AXIS
1) Checked whether view was in customized view or not and material was selected. then gone through draft analysis tool and draged compass over tooling axis and locked direction. there were shown different colour variant on surfaces. outside surfaces of screw bosses and dog house was shown blue and green colour means drafting was correct because we drafted otside surfaces.. surfaces was shown green colour because there were drafted with more than 3 degree and blue colour was shown because drafted with 0 to 3 degree.
DRAFT ANALYSIS WITH SIDE CORE AXIS
1) For this draged compass over side core axis and locked direction. here also different colour variant was shown and inside surfaces of dog house was shown green and blue and drafting was correct because we drafted dog house inside also.side walls was shown blue because it drafted 0.5 degree and base was shown green because drafted it more than 3 degree.
