Aim :
Creation of CAD model considering following inputs as like in OEM and tier1 companies
Find a attachment strategy for the door panel complete work.
Use Push pin with Dog house for Lower substrate – Door panel attachment
Use heat stakes for part to part attachment
Solution:
We will create solid body for the following Class A surface :
We have created an assembly and separated the lower substrate as shown below:
Creation of B Surface:
We have offsetted the class a surface by 2.5 mm as shown below :
Creation of Class C Surface:
Using blend command we get the following c surface using the same for the whole class a suface we get :
We have joined the Class A ,Class B and Class C surface.
Creating Solid Body we get the following :
2.Part 2 :
We have the following class A surface as shown below :
Creation of Class B Surface :
We have created class B surface as shown .
Creation of Class C Surface :
We have created c surface using blend we get the following :
Now in order to get a solid body we will split this body as shown below :
The second half is as shown below:
We will use the same method of creating the class b and class c and after that joining it with class a surface as shown below:
Part 3 :
We have the following the class A given:
Creation of Class B :
We have created the following as class b surface:
Creation of Class C Surface:
We have created the following class c surface.
Now we will join all surfaces.
We have created the solid body as shown :
Part 4 :
We have the following as class A surface as shown :
Creation of Class B Surface :
We have offsetted the class A surface by 2.5 mm as shown below :
'
Creation of Class C Surface :
We have created the class c surface using blend command as shown below :
Final Join :
Now we will be joining the class A ,Class B and class C as shown :
Now we will create the solid body as shown :
Now we have body with a thickness of 2.5 mm as shown below :
Joining Features:
The lower substrate is joined with the map pocket with the following flanges as shown:
We have created the flanges as shown below :
Now we will create the heat stakes as shown below on the lower substrate :
Creation of Doghouse :
Now we have created the doghouse as shown below :
They have the pushpin attached to it .
Now we have attached the following part with the lower substrate with upper pocket as shown :
We have also attached the upper pocket with the same method as shown below :
Therefore all part are joined by heatstakes and doghouses as shown below in the final product :
