Week - 10 Hyperelastic Material Models
Aim :
Given the material data below, calculate the Mooney Rivlin and Ogden material constants and compare the both using stress-strain data from a Dogbone specimen tensile test with 100 percent strain. The given data is the engineering stress-strain in MPa/(mm/mm). The comparison should be shown from the d3hsp file and using simulation.
Solution :
First we will convert the following into excel sheet data :

We create the following material card as shown below :

We have inserted the following stress strain curve :

Now we have derived the data from the simulation and put it into the excel file as shown below :

After converting into engineering stress and strain and comparing it with the stress strain curve raw we get the following :

We also get the following data for the hyperelastic material card:
| Mooney constant c1 = 0.1756E+00 |
| Mooney constant c2 = 0.1494E+00 |
Now we use ogden material card as shown below :

After running we get the following results :
Now we have derived the data from the simulation and put it into the excel file as shown below :

Conclusion
Therefore we can conclude from the graph that hyperelastic material card is more accurate for the same number of coefficient to the raw material data .
