WHAT IS BENCHMARKING.

- BENCHMARKING IN AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY INVOLVES A STRUCTURED COMPARISON BETWEEN SIMILAR PRODUCTS , SERVICE OR PROCESSES ON SOME DIMENSIONS OF PERFORMANCE.

- The definition of a benchmark is to measure something against a standard. An example of benchmark is to compare a recipe to the original chef's way of doing it. A benchmark is defined as a standard by which all others are measured. An example of a benchmark is a novel that is the first of its genre.

- There are four main types of benchmarking: INTERNAL , EXTERNAL , PERFORMANCE AND PRACTICE.

- it shows 4 different vehicles of different manufacturing company compared with there respective service , dimensions , performance , price , mileange etc.

- From this comparsion we get a new result for producing a new vehicle in the market and also as a customer we get better option to select a vehicle to buy.

PROCESS OF BENCHMARKING .

- Between similar processes in same factory or service branch.

- Between different factory or service branch.

- Between different competing organizations.

- Between different sectors using same process.

BENCHMARKING FOR THE GIVEN CASE.

- From the given case study considering a family of five members , there daily use of car and budget.

- I have selected four vehicles which from my side will be a good choice for the customer.

1. TATA NEXON.

- So , why NEXON firstly if i compare it with the budget of the customer

- It ranges from 7 lac to 11 lac for different variants for petrol engine.

- Its a 5 seater SUV with comfortable seating for family.

- Average fuel economy 16 - 22 km/lit combined.

- As listen the word NEXON first thing comes to find is INDIA'S SAFEST CAR

- The reason why i consider ertiga in my benchmark is , In indian road and market condition economy matters the most.

- whether its budget or fuel economy , so maruti comes with great fuel economy as off very less vehicle weight its smart hybrid technology is also worth.

- And now so it also provides company fitted CNG kit , and we all know CNG gas is cheaper than petrol.

- This makes ertiga a good choice , Also 1 from 5 persons in india owns maruti suzuki vehicle.

- The next gen ertiga provides a mileange of 19.01 km/lit in petrol MT , 17.99 km/lit petrol AT and 26.08 km/kg in CNG.

IS MOST IMPORTANT AND THIS VEHICLE IS THE SAFEST VEHICLE OF INDIA AND AVERAGE IS VERY GOOD , VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE AND OVERALL ITS STYLISH VEHICLE WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY.

- AND I WILL ALSO ADD THAT AS NOW A DAYS OUR GOVERMENT AS STARTED TREND " VOCAL FOR LOCAL " , AND TATA IS OUR INDIAN BASE COMPANY SO WHY NOT TO CHOOSE TATA.
