Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1) For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.
-Adisor is opend in Matlab and EV_defaults_in is choosen as vehicle type. The cargo mass is also changed to 500kgand.

-I then continued to the next stage and choosed CYC_FTP drive cycle and kept all other parameter constant.

-Then click on run to Start thesimulation.
-Below is the results of the simulation which clearly shows a low kM range of 17.8km distance. Hence the vehicle cant travel 45km with the given parameters.
-The second graph ess_soc show a very rappid battery consumption which is as a result of a heavier cargo mass choosen and the battery type.
-At 2500 sec we have a value of almost 0 indicating our energy capacity is alomst finished.
-We also have the emission results showing 0 cause its an EV.

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.
-After changing the Battery capacity from ESS_NULL to ESS_AnnexVII_SHEV_NIMH28 we satill have the same distanced covered of 17.8km but on the second graph we can see a battery reserve of almost 0.8 at 2500sec

-so i increased the drive cycle to 5 till ess_soc gose to 0 after 98000sec and we have a resulting km range of 70.9km.

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
Compare your results in table and conclude.
-PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in is choosen and continue to the next step to configure the gradeability.

-A Gradeability test was Selected, Time is kept at 20sec and speed is 40kmph.
-Every other parameter is kept constant.
-From the result the vehicle has a gradeability of 2.5%

-The test is reapeted and time is kept at 20sec and speed is chaned to 55kmph.
-From the result the vehicle has a gradeability of 1.7%

-The test is reapeted and time is kept at 20sec and speed is chaned to 55kmph.
-From the result the vehicle has a gradeability of 1%

CONCLUSION
-from the above observations we can conclude that greater the speed, lesser the gradeability of the vehicle.
