Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

ASSEMBLY OF SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT

OBJECTIVE:

The objective for making the Yacht was to explore the solidworks in a very realistic way. The yacht sketching, part modelling, assembling in the solidworks to explore the tools, features and commands.

INTRODUCTION:

This yacht is a very realistic design with some very realistic components and parts.

In the construction and modeling of Yacht the used tools and features:-

  • SKETCH- 2D-To create sketches on a plane reference

3D-To create sketches in the three dimension(XYZ)

  • Lines- To create a line or centerline
  • Circles- To create cirlcular shape
  • Rectangles- To create rectangular shape
  • Splines- To create curved lines controllable through handles
  • Slots- For creating slot shape
  • Arcs- for creating arcs or half circles
  • Offset Entities- To offsetting the sketch at required distance
  • Convert Entities- To convert sketches from plane to another plane
  • Trim Entities- For deleting or trimming the sketch
  • Extruded Boss/base- To create 3d object
  • Extruded Cut- For cutting a portion from 3d Object
  • Revolved Boss/base- To revolve a circular shape around axis
  • Lofted Boss/base- To create surface between multiple curves
  • Surface Extrude- For creating surface
  • Trim Surface- To Trim Surface
  • Loft Surface- To create surface between multiple curves
  • Sweep Surface- For creating surface of sketch over a curve
  • Sweep Cut- To remove material along curved 3d shape
  • Extend Surface- To increasing the length of surface
  • Knit surface- To join or knit multiple surfaces
  • Fillet- To Create round edges
  • Chamfer- To make slope(in Angle)
  • Dome- For making Round or circular shape on an end
  • Sweep- To create a 3d shape from 2d shape along a connected path
  • Split- To create multiple part from single part
  • Shell- To removing inner material to form hollow shape
  • Mirror- To copy sketch/Feature and Body from one side of a plane or axis to another
  • Patterns- For creating same shapes or objects to another place by reference of any line or plane in linear, curve and curve driven manner
  • Combine- To combining or adding bodies to make them single body
  • Appearences- To give parts their material look and painted colour

PARTS CONSISTS IN THE YACHT

  • RADAR
  • PROPELLER
  • HULL
  • GARAGE DOOR
  • FRONT SEAT
  • MIDDLE SEAT
  • REAR SEAT
  • SUPERSTRUCTURE
  • RADAR MAST

RADAR

The Radar is a moveable object used to detect the Position, range and velocity of the other objects in all the directions.

PROPELLER

The propeller is used to transfer the rotatary motion of the motor/engine to linear motion to propell the yacht.

HULL

This is the main watertight body of the yacht which carry or includes the other parts of the body.

GARAGE DOOR

The garage door is attached to the hull and rotates on its hinges to open and close purpose.

FRONT SEAT

The Front seat includes the mattresses for the jacuzzi on the yacht deck.

MIDDLE SEAT

This is the middle row seat which has a combined table with it.

REAR SEAT

The rear seat includes some parts like railing or gates which separates the upper deck and it also includes rear light and a flag and pole, and some small compartment/almirahs.

SUPERSTRUCTURE

This is the top most luxurius part of the yacht for accomodation. The structure is enclosed and the most noticeable structure of the yacht.

RADAR MAST

The Radar Mast is a component of yacht which contains imortant electronic devices which are connected with the radar to provide signals recieved through antennaes, and also includes horns and lights with it.

ASSEMBLY

The assembly includes the every part we have designed, for first step the hull was inserted in assembly window and then other parts when added were already fixed because of the refernce part modeling, after that other parts were added and mates were applied according to positioning of parts and requirements.

Mates Applied for assembly were: Coincident, Concentric, Distance

RENDERING

The rendering is a process in which a simple design is converted into a realistic appearence design. The environments, camera view setup, lightning, shadows, etc can be controlled and edited with the help of photoview 360 and visualize.
