AIM : To model aroof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of ceiling and using adjustment tool bars appearing on screen adjust the roof slope to 10 degrees.
TOOLS USED : Architecture tab, roof, pick lines, properties, slope.
PROCEDURE :
1. In the architecture tab, click on roof by footprint in roof dropdown.
2. Set the boundary for roof using pick lines option, click on finish edit option.
3. In the properties of roofs, change the slope to 10 degrees and click apply.
RESULT: The ceiling with 10 degrees is successfully added.
3) Using the file saved from week 2 to 4, create plan views for ground floor level and first floor level including all the walls , floors and components. Separate them to architecture and structural plans
a. Architecture plan must have walls , floors and all the components placed within the building
b. Structure plan must have details of only walls, floors and columns
AIM : To create plan view for ground floor level and first floor level including all the walls, floors and components.
TOOLS REQUIRED : Property browser, floor plans.
PROCEDURE:
1. In the project browser we get plan views in left side, they are architectural plan views.
2. In the view tab, click on structural plan view in plan view drop down to create structural plan view.
RESULT : The required plan views are obtained.
ARCHITECTURE VIEW :
STRUCTURAL PLAN VIEW:
4) Using annotate tool bar add dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project file
a. The architecture plan dimensions include details on where the components are placed within the buildings with relation to grids. Overall dimensions are sufficient for architecture plans
b. The Structure plan dimensions must include details on position of all the walls and interior walls with reference to grids. Locate all the framing components of the building with reference to a fixed point using Structural plans
AIM: Add dimensions to walls and floors with reference to longitudinal and transverse grids created in project file.
TOOLS USED : Architectural, Grids, Annotate, aligned.
PROCEDURE :
1. In the architectural tab click on grid tool and start drawing grids from left to right and top to bottom.
2. After drawing the grids, go to annotate and choose align option and annotate the distamced between the vertical and horizontal grids and also the components in the plan.
3. In the structural plan view, add grids and annotate the distances between the grid lines.
RESULT : The required grids and the offsets are obtained in both architectural and structural plan views.
ARCHITECTURAL PLAN VIEW :
STRUCTURAL PLAN VIEW :
5) Create a sheet template from the view tab and adjust the parameters on the sheet to add appropriate views
AIM : To create a sheet template from the view tab and adjust the parameters on the sheet to add appropriate views.
TOOLS USED : View, sheets, project browser.
PROCEDURE :
1. In the view tab, click on sheets and click on A1 METRIC and click ok
2.Then make required changes to the detail sheet by dobleclicking or using project browser .
RESULT : The required sheets with parametres is obtained.
6) Using the 6) Using the elevation tab create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South and West
AIM : To use the elevation tab create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South and West
TOOLS USED : view, elevation, project browser
PROCEDURE:
1. In the view tab, click on elevation tool .
2. On the 4 sides of drawing, add the elevation logo that appears.
3. In the project browser, there will be 4 views named north, west, east and south. Double click on the required view to open it.
RESULT : The 4 required elevation views are obtained.
EAST ELEVATION VIEW:
NORTH ELEVATION VIEW :
SOUTH ELEVATION VIEW :
WEST ELEVATION VIEW :
7) Produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction
AIM : Toproduce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction.
TOOLS USED : View, section, property browser.
PROCEDURE :
1. In the view menu, click on section tool.
2. Draw the sectional line to get the view wherever sectional view is required.
3. In the project browser we find sectional views, double click on the required sectional view to open it.
RESULT : The required sectional views, one longituinal and transverse are obtianed.
LONGITUDINAL VIEW ;
TRANSVERSE VIEW :
8) Classify the views , Plan Views, Section Views and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using Properties browser
VIEW : it is nothing but the way we see an object i different direction.
PLAN VIEW : The plan view is nothing but looking at a object from the top and this view helps us to draw or plan the rooms inside a building.
SECTIONAL VIEW : It is the view we get when a buliding or an object is cut along a line and viewed from one of the sides. This helps us to understand how it looks when it is cut from there.
ELEVATION VIEW : It is the view obtained when we look at something from side, it shows how tall the object is and how it looks from sides.
In the property browser of revit software we have all these views , using whhich we can clearly design and document a project properly and clearly.
9) Using the sheet template produced create multiple sheets as follows
a. A 101 – Ground Floor Architecture Plan
b. A 102- First Floor Architecture Plan
c. A 103- Roof Plan
d. S 101- Ground Floor Structural Plan
e. S 102 – First Floor Structural Plan
f. S 103- Roof Framing Plan
g. A-201 – North South Elevations
h. A-202- East West Elevations
AIM : To create sheet template and create multiple sheets as mentioned.
TOOLS USED : View, sheet, properties, graphics, insert, image.
PROCEDURE :
