AIM: To Analyze and Design a Boiler shed structure as per IS code in Tekla Structural Designer.
TOOLS USED: File. new,Home.,Wall panels.,wind panels.,Grids.,Parallel quick.,Frames.,Loads.,Loadcases.,Beams.,Columns.,Construction levels.,Manage property sets.,Validate.,Construction lines.,Dead load.,Live load.,Wind load,Seismic load.
PROCEDURE:
1. click on new and save the file as required in TSD.
2. Click on grids in the model tab and create grids as per the plan using Grid line and parallel (quick) and offset as 5m in both the directions.
3. Click on levels in the model tab and then create the levels as per the elevation plan and click ok.
4. Click on manage property sets and create steel columns, concrete columns and with autodesign off and required alignment.
5. Place the steel columns at the grid points as per the elevation.
6. Create frames using the frame tool in model tab along the grid lines.
7. Now using the frames draw rafters and also add the wall panels.
8. Click on slabs on beams and add slabs in the ground level.
9. Now, click on braces and create braces on the wall panels.
10. The load calculations as per IS 800:2007 are to be done as follows.
11. The loads are to be applied on the structure by clicking on area load in Load tab and also apply seismic wizard.
12. create load cases and combinations using load tab.
13. The laod cases created are
14. The analysis based on loads are to be done and designed as per the required erroirs that occur.
RESULT: The structure is analysed and designed as per the plan given and found to be error free when validated.
