Assignment 2-RADIOSS Engine File Editing & 3D Meshing Challenge

1. The speed of the sound is 5188.75 m/s where, E = 210000 N/mm² and ρ = 0.0078 g/mm²
2. The time taken by the shock wave to travel the entire length of rail is 0.0019 s . Where l = 1000 mm and c = 5188.75 m/s.

Objective: To 3D mesh the given models and satisfy the criteria

Model 1:

Procedure:

1. Import the model
2. Clean-up the geometry
3. Mesh the surfaces with trias and R-trias for plane and curved surfaces respectively
4. Use 3D > tetramesh to create 3D mesh of the model.

1. Import the model
2. Use quad mesh to mesh specific surfaces.
3. Use 3D > line drag or solid map to create 3D mesh
4. Use Tools > faces to create a face from 3D mesh as and when required to create 2d mesh.
