MOST PARTS OR APPLICATIONS REQUIRE MINIMUM OF 1/2 TO 1 DEGREE , HOWEVER 3 DEGREES IS WIDELY ACCEPTED AS THE NORM.
IN CATIA WE CAN MAKE DRFT ANALYSIS ON A COMPONENT OR PART . YOU SHOULD INSERT THE FEATURE DRAFT ANALYSIS OPTION AND TAKE THE DIRECTION ON THE TOOLING AXIS . THEN WE CAN ANALIZE THE DRAFT ANALYSIS.
TO CREATE A TOOLING AXIS -
STEP 1 : FIRST YOU ENSURE THE WHICH AXIS OR DIRECTION IS SUITABLE THE PART .
STEP 2 : AFTER SELECTING THE AXIS TO CREATE A POINT ON IT .
STEP 3 : IN THAT POINT WE CAN CREATE DUMMY LINE THAT IS NOTHING BUT TH DUMMY TOLLING AXIS .
STEP 4 : AFTER THE THE DUMMY TOOLING AXIS THEN CREATE A PLANE AND MAKE INTERSECT TO THE PART .
STEP 5 : AFTER THE INTERSECTION THEN DRAW THE LINES WHICH ARE PARALLEL TO THE DUMMY TOOLING AXIS .
STEP 6 : THEN HIDE THE DUMMY TOOLAXIS . WHEN USE THE LINES TO MAKE A BISECT LINE . THE BISECT LINE IS THE OUR MAIN TOOLING AXIS LINE THA IS USED TO MAKE THE DRAFT ANALYSIS.
