Objective: Check for the geometrical errors to make appropriate volumes. Create and assign PIDs as shown. Perform surface mesh with the given target lengths as per PIDs. Blade stage-1 = 1 mm Blade stage-2 = 1 mm Impeller = 2 mm Shaft rotor = 1 mm Turbo casing = 5 mm Compressor casing = 5 mm Inlet casing cover = 5 mm Perform…

Objective:
Given Model:
Procedure:
3. Assign PID name
4. Check for single cons in Geometry checks and if no single cons are there move to the mesh part. In mesh give the quality criteria and target length as per the requirement.
5. Check that if all surfaces have meshed, if there is any unmeshed surface, meshed it.
6. After all surface mesh is done then go for volume mesh. Go to define and select auto-detect the whole database, you will get volumes detected by ANSA software.
7. Select the volume where the flow will take place and delete the remaining volume. Always check the selected volume before deleting.
8. Mesh the selected volume using TETRA-CFD.
Learning Outcomes:
Results:
Surface mesh:
Turbo casing = 5 mm,Compressor casing = 5 mm,Inlet casing cover = 5 mm
Blade stage-1 = 1 mm,Blade stage-2 = 1 mm,Impeller = 2 mm Shaft rotor = 1 mm
Volume mesh:
Conclusion:
Here we performed surface mesh for turbocharger with target length as per component and then performed Volume mesh.
