Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX CAD - Metal bracket-II
Title: Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad - Bracket-2.
Objective: To model bracket using NX CAD application.
Introduction:
- NX CAD: NX, formerly known as "unigraphics", is an advanced high-end CAD/CAM/CAE, which has been owned since 2007 by Siemens PLM Software.
- Sheet metal: It is metal formed by an industrial process into thin, flat pieces. Sheet Metal parts are manufactured from a single sheet of metal the part must maintain a uniform wall thickness. Sheet metal parts with a minimum of 0.9mm to 20mm in thickness can be manufactured.
Design methodology:

Tools and features:
- Contour flange: Creates a sheet of different curved profiles.
- Unbend: Sheet at bended surfaces is unbended.
- Rebend: Unbended surface is rebended.
- Advanced flange: Creates a flange at curved profiled sheets.
- Holes: Cuts the sheet onn the hole manner.
- Break corner: Cutting the corner of sheet in circular manner.
- Normal cutout: Cutting the sheet of profile normally.
- Flat pattern: Create a new view of flattening the sheet.
- Gusset: It is a feature that strengthens the sheet, which is created at bends.
