CHALLENGE 3 - DOOR TRIM LOWER WITH ENGINEERING FEATURES
AIM:
To create door trim with 2.5mm thickness with use of given class A surface. And create 4 and 2 way locator and heat stakes.
CLASS A SURFACE:
Class A surface is given and check the connectivity of the class A surface with boundary tool and join tool.
TOOLING AXIS:
Create a tooling axis with bisecting method.
CLASS B SURFACE:
Create a class b surface offset 2.5mm. Some joined and parts will miss out in offset process. We want to solve it.
CLASS C SURFACE:
Class C surface create with help of class A surface take boundary is reference. And use sweep tool to create class C surface.
CLASS A AND C SURFACE JOIN:
Join of the class A and C surface unhide both A and C surface. Use join tool to make single part class A and C surface.
FINAL TRIM:
Unhide all surfaces and make sure all surface will cross over each other surfaces. And use trim tool to create final trim.
SOLID SURFACE:
Final trim select and make solid part by using close surface tool.
HEAT STAKE:
Next create heat stakes by using given reference points in class A surface. This heat stakes create by following design rules.
4 WAY LOCATOR:
Create 4 way locator followed by design rules. draf 0.5deg and giveing chamfer to locator.
2 WAY LOCATOR:
Two way locator is created for cut the deg of freedom by followed desing rules like four way locator.
FINAL SOLID PART:
The solid part want to assemble the heat stake and two and four way locators in single body.
DRAFT ANALYSIS:
The final draft analysis is use of final solid part. with 3deg to clear the draft analysis.
The draft analysis is very helpfull to create final products without errors...
