Title : Modelling Sunseeker Predator Yatch

Obective : To design and assemble a complete model of the Sunseeker Predator yatch

Introduction : This project involves the application of Solidworks for the modelling of a Yatch, honing the skills accrued during the previous project of the American Chopper. The use of surfaces to form and enclose a solid is the highlight of this project. The designed Yatch is a solid model and is not opertional.

Description :

• Surfaces -  
• Surface Loft : using curve profiles and uide curve sketches to obtain a curve
  
• Surface Trim : To delete or keep part of surface based on a sketch.
  
• Surface Knit : To combine to surfaces to form a single surface. The knit edges of the surfaces must result in a black line and not a blue one to ensure there are no gaps betweeen the knit surfaces.
  
  
• Surface Extrude : Surface version of solid extrude. Extruding surfaces in any direction based on sketches.
  
• Surface Fill: to fill enclosed gaps of surfaces and sketches.
   
  
• Surface Sweep : To sweep a curve along another curve to form a surfce.
  
• Ruled surface : To create a surface that is along a specific direction and orientation from a sketch or edge.
  
• Boundary Surface : To create a surface between the enclosed boundaries of other features, perhaps to fill gaps.
• Delete Face : To delete faces from surfaces to remove any abnormality.
• Features-

• Boss Extrude : used to create solid surface from a sketch in any direction.

  Swept Boss : To extrude a sketch across a defined curve sketch.
   
• Cut Extrude : Same as extrude but to remove features based on the sketch.

Conclusion : 

The yatch was modelled and rendered. Solidworks is efficient in creating good solid body models of medium to high range complications.
