DOOR TRIM LOWER PANEL - FINAL PROJECT:
AIM:
In this project we want to create the door trim panel combonents with 2.5mm thickness (Arem rest, Lower substract, Bottle holder, Map pocket). And considering following inputs and follow given master session and OEM inputs.
SOFTWARE USED - CATIA V5
INRODUCTION:
The ten stages in automotive product life cycle development are listed:

10. Mass production
GIVEN CLASS A SURFACE:
The given class A surface we need to check with join tool or boundary tool.
TOOLING AXIS:
The tooling axis is created by point and direction method and bisecting method to created by tooling axis.
CLASS A SURFACE DRAFT ANALYSIS:
The class A surface draft analysis to check.
CLASS B SURFACE:
The class B surface is want to offset from class A surface. offset with 2.5mm thickness.
CLASS C SURFACE:
The class C surface created by useing sweep tool and extrude tool.
FINAL TRIM A+B+C AND DRAFT ANALYSIS:
The final trim is used add class a and b and c surface want to overlap each other and do trim by use trim tool.
DOG HOUSE:
The two main purposes of a dog house are to avoid sink marks and to house various other engineering features like screw boss, locators, push clip etc.
In this case, the dog house is designed to house the push clips and the 4 way locator. the dog house designed for the push clip features a slot on the top face to accommodate the push clip.
The dog house should follow certain design rules which are stated blow.
HEAT STAIKS AND RIBS:
The heat staiks and ribs very helpful connect the one part to another parts.
FLANGES:
The flange created for connect the one part to another part from mastersection we get the idea of flanges.
FINAL ASSEMBLY:
The final assembly with dog house and push pin clip. for final assembly of door trim panel we have to constarin all parts together.
By following given in put push pin clip to assembly.

CONCLUSION:
From this project i have leraned how to create CAD model for plastics parts by considering design rule. By doing this project on CATIA V5 , I get very well familiar with part, surface and assembly workbench. Also I get confidence in handling different features of all workbenches. Along with this, I get idea of how to design a part by considering manufacturing and assembly aspect.
