    Underbody Coating is a layer applied under the body of the car which is subjected to rust, dusts & debris which is prevented by this underbody coating and thus increases the life of the car.

    Types of Underbody Coating:

    • Rubberized Underbody Coating
    • Wax Based Underbody Coating
    • Asphalt Based Underbody Coating
    • Polyurethane Underbody Coating

     

    Rubberized Underbody Coating:

    It is best for underbody coating for cars. It is easy to apply. It prevents from dents, dust, rust and makes sound proof

     

    Wax Based Underbody Coating:

    It is cost efficient way of underbody coating. It is commonly used in market but has lifetime of only one year. It makes rust proof and prevents from salt and water.

     

    Asphalt Based Underbody Coating:

    This type of coating is used for vans, buses, lorries. This prevents form hard hitting objects on the vehicle.

     

    Polyurethane Underbody Coating:

    This needs pre preparation before applying the coating. This eliminates fractures or splits on the surface. It binds with metals so well.

     

    Advantages:

    • Decreases sound from underneath the car
    • Anti Chip when hit by debris
    • It acts as heat insulators 

     

    Disadvantages:

    • It cannot be applied for rusty old vehicle. If so it will be costlier.
