Engine Wiring Harness
A wire Harness, also Commonly referred to as a Wiring Harness, is an exterior Sheet used to cover some types of electronic Wires. Generally, Wiring Harness are made of thermoplastic or thermoset materials that can help protect the cables from the environment.
An Engine Wiring Harness is constricted Wires, Cables, Terminals, and Connectors Controlling a vehicle's electrical system. It relays electrical Power and Control Information to Components such as batteries, alternators, fuel injectors, fuses, audio systems, blower motors, fuel Injectors etc. Wire harness companies customize it for every location, application, and design it interconnects all the components to function properly.
Designing of Wiring Harness for given Back Door Assembly
Step 1 Download the Back Door Cad Data and required Connectors CAD data from the given source.
Step 2 Download the required Connectors from the source and convert the Mechanical Connectors electrically by using the electrical part design work bench.
Step 3 Download and define Furr tree clip.
Step 4 Create Context assembly and create another assembly inside it containing Back Door and second assembly for geometric bundle.
Step 5 Add C-776438-4-D-3D (4 pole connector) to start the harness at the top flange of back door.
Step 6 Add C-173090-2-A-3D (2 pole connector) as per requirements.
Step 7 Add C-282080-1-D-3D (2 pole connector) as per requirements.
Step 8 Add Furr tree clip for proper routing of the harness Bundle.
Step 9 Switch to Electrical harness installation for routing geometric bundles.
Step 10 Add COT Tubes for protection of electrical harness as per the diameter and provide clearance at the end and start of geometric bundle.
Step 11 Create the new product file for Harness flattening. Extract the assembly of geometrical bundle routing for flattening.
Step 12 Select all the branches and flatten the assembly properly.
Step 13 Create new drawing file and place the flatten harness assembly in front view. Chose the scale as 1:2 to fit the assembly in the drawing sheet.
Conclusion
The routing of Wiring harness of given Back Door and flatten view drawing in CATIA V5 is obtained.
