P - CLAMP
A P-clamp, also known as a P-clip, is a type of clamp that is commonly used in wiring harnesses to secure and route the wires. The "P" shape of the clamp allows it to be easily attached to flat surfaces such as sheet metal or plastic, and the wire or harness can be inserted into the clamp and held securely in place.
P-clamps are typically made of a durable plastic or metal material and are designed to hold the harness securely without damaging the wires or causing interference with other components. They can be used to route the harness in a specific direction, to secure the harness to a specific location, or to bundle several wires or harnesses together.
P-clamps are commonly used in automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications where a secure and reliable method of routing and protecting wires is needed. They are easy to install and remove, making them ideal for use in areas where maintenance or repairs may be required.
P-clamps are generally easy to install and can be used to support the harness at specific points along its route, helping to prevent chaffing, rubbing or other types of damage that can occur over time. They are also useful for attaching the harness to a specific location, such as a frame or body panel.
STEP 1 : DEFINE THE GIVEN P CLAMP AS ELECTRICAL
STEP 2 :
save the P- CLAMP in the specified catalogue.
BACKSHELL :
A backshell, also known as a connector backshell or strain relief backshell, is a type of connector that is used in wiring harnesses to protect and secure the connectors that connect the wires to the other components or systems in the harness. The backshell is typically made of a durable plastic or metal material and is designed to fit over the connector, providing a secure and protective enclosure around it.
Backshells serve several purposes:
Protection: Backshells protect the connectors from environmental factors such as dust, dirt, and moisture, which can cause damage or failure over time.
Strain relief: Backshells provide strain relief for the wires, preventing them from being pulled or bent at the connector, which can cause damage or breakage.
Cable clamping: Backshells can also include a mechanism for clamping the wires or cable to the connector, providing additional security and stability to the connections.
EMI/RFI shielding: Backshells can also include EMI/RFI shielding to prevent interference from electronic devices and radio frequencies, ensuring the proper functioning of the harness.
Aesthetics: Backshells can be designed to match the aesthetic of the equipment or vehicle, providing a sleek and finished look.
Backshells come in many different sizes and styles to fit different types of connectors and can be customized to meet specific needs or requirements of a particular application. They are an important component of a wiring harness as they provide protection and security to the connectors, ensuring the proper functioning of the harness over time.
STEP 1 : DEFINE THE GIVEN BACKSHELL AS ELECTRICAL
STEP 2 :
save the backshell in the specified catalogue.
CORRUGATED TUBES :
Corrugated tubes, also known as conduit, are a type of tubing used to protect and route wires, cables, and hoses. They are made of a flexible, corrugated material that can bend and flex easily, allowing them to be routed around tight corners or through tight spaces. The corrugated design also gives them a high level of resistance to crushing, kinking and abrasion.
Corrugated tubes are commonly used in a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, and industrial, as well as in residential and commercial wiring applications. They are often used in wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, to protect and route the wires and cables, providing protection against abrasion, vibration and temperature changes.
Corrugated tubes come in different sizes and materials, including plastic and metal, and can be customized to meet specific needs or requirements of a particular application. They can also be coated with a flame-retardant material to improve safety.
Corrugated tubes are an important component of a wiring harness as they provide protection and security to the wires and cables, ensuring the proper functioning of the harness over time. They are also easy to install and remove, making them ideal for use in areas where maintenance or repairs may be required.
STEP 1 :
STEP 2 :
save the all the different dia cot tubes in the specified catalogue.
