AIM :
To create the drive cycle calculate the energy required for braking and electric motor can’t develop braking torque at high speed similar to starting and matlab program a.m file simuling ouput plots attach.
1) For a defined driving cycle, calculate the energy required for braking.
The driving cycle, calculate the energy required for braking. the breaking system based on the speed and acculater force. vechile speed is high apply to brake the speed will be radiused. the brake is based on vechile foure wheel vechile and two wheeler vechile.and drive cycle all the based on varing some type of brake used. currently macinical type brake and electric type brake used.
there are three basic types of brakes including more types to service brakes, emergency brakes, and parking brakes. These brakes are all intended to keep everyone inside the vehicle speed is redusing the three type used and traveling on our roadways safe. break technolegy is machinical brake and hydrrulic pressure brake and disk brake air bake and electric brake used all the breaking.
the decelerating and accelerate to vechile moving speed to declcrating at a vechile faste engine to able accelerate to engine speed will be applying.
kg= (1/2)(W/g)(U^2-V^2)
allthe W is the vechile gross weigt,N and U is initial velcity m/s and V is final velocty m/s and M is mass of the vechile ,kg and g is acceleration due to gravity of the m/s^2 to callculate the outpu of excel doucment.
the excel calculater of value is the drive cycle of energy required for braking.
this is the new york city drive cycle schedule is vechile speed mph of the spssd.
2) Why electric motor can’t develop braking torque at high speed similar to starting? How electric and mechanical brakes are coordinated?
Electric motor can't develop braking torque at highe spped similar to starting brake torque is force applied at the brake wheel to stop the motion of the moving equipmet. assuming the operating conditions for the equipment are con stsnt a brake having a retarding torque to the full load torque of the motor to which it is applied is usually satisfactory.
the most common type of electronic motor brake is the injection brake. this uses an electromagnetic field to both power the motor and to apply braking. A DC or AC motor functions through an applied current pushing a magnetic pole rotor.
EV can achieve the speed Acceleration operation goes this way with low speed and high torque constant torque region. two type of elctric and mechanical brake is used SERIES and PARALLEL.
SERIES :
the brake series brake the connected in series. either one brake stragety at a time either regenerative braking machanical brake. the principle is to decouple the power supplied by the primary source from the power.
PARALLEL :
a parallel hydraulic hybrid power control system is designe to solve the contradiction between braking safety stability and realizing the maximum energy recovery.
electric and mechanical brakes are coordinated
electronic driven intellegent braking
Intelligent Emergency Braking monitors the surrounding area in front of the car for vehicles and pedestrians, helping to avoid or reduce damage caused by collisions.
Most of the power brake systems derive vacuum from the engine intake manifold and use this energy to apply brake force which greatly reduces driver’s pedal force and brakes become highly responsive and easy to operate.
Also the energy lost in stopping the car almost all goes waste in conventional braking systems. One major disadvantage of this system is that it puts load on the engine since the braking energy is extracted from the engine. Also the energy lost in stopping the car almost all goes waste in conventional braking systems.
3) Make a MATLAB program which plots contour of given motor speed, torque and efficiency values. Attach the code as a .m file attach a screenshot of all the plots.
the motor speed and torque and efficiency values. the matlab scrft file attach a program the some loss of braking system is comming iron loss and windage losses and constant losses is comming this matlab scrift file.
conculusions :
To complet all the drive cycle the energy braking is calculated and electric motor torque at high speed similar electric and mechanical brakes are coordinated and matlab scrpt file plots.
