1) BIM means Building Information Modeling. It is a 3D model based on the Architecture,Engineering and construction. This helps us to design,plan consruct,buildings and infrastructure.It is a file which is used to exchange,extract and network to make the desicion in building making.BIM is used in design ,document building and infrastructure designs. The model is used for analysis to explore the design options and create visualisations. This software is used for government who plans the constuctional works,also buisness,electricity,roads,bridges,railways etc..

AIM:
Understand the concept of concept of categories,families,elements,instances in Revit.
PROCEDURE:
>Open the Revit
>Click on new then on Architectural template
>Save the file
>After saving the file open architectural tab then on component tool
>Click on the load family
> Click open and place the bed
RESULT:
Understood the concept of categories families elements and instances in Revit.

AIM: Setting up a project
PROCEDURE:
>Open the Revit
>Click on new select Architectural template click OK
>Save the file with apropriate name
>Click on options button and select the max number of projects you want to save and save the file
>Type UN and change the units into meters
>now go to Manage tool and select the project information
>Here you have to save the information you want to saveand click on OK
RESULT:Setting up the project.

AIM:Creating the given levels
PROCEDURE:
>Go to the view tab and select the elevation view
>Click on the levels and create the levels
>Go to Architectural templte on Datum you can see the Grid
>Click on the Grid and draw the longitudinal grids as mentioned
> now draw the horizontal Grids
RESULT: Understood the concept of Grids & Levels.

AIM: 3D model Residential Building
PROCEDURE:
>Open Revit then save the new file and give the building information
>Click on the Architectural tab and click on walls draw the walls and Doors
>Click on components in Architechtural tab and load families
> Seelect the furniture and place the furnitures you want

AIM: To create the dimensions for the layout
PROCEDURE:
>On annotate tool bar you can see the linear dimensions select it and mention where you want to see the dimensions

AIM:Identify the Residential model elements
PROCEDURE:
>Click on Architechtural tab and click on componentd
>Click on load families click on libraries and select India
>Select the required furniture you want and click OK
>Place the components where you want in your Residential Building
