OJECTIVE:
Generating mid surface and geometry cleanup on plastic mold
Generating mesh which passes quality parameters.
QUALITY CRITERIA :

PROCEDURE:
1. Import the model in HyperWorks
2. Delete all solids
3. Topology cleanup of surfaces
4. Generate mid surface by auto mid surface command
5. Manual mid surfacing in places where surface capturing is not proper.
6. Scale the size of the component in all the axis by 1000
7. Defeaturing of surfaces up to 0.01 to 5mm
8. Batch meshing the surfaces.
9. Tweaking the mesh in order to get proper mesh flow.
CONCLUSION:
1. Learnt to generate Mid surface and topology cleanup of surfaces.
2. Learnt to generate mesh qualifying all quality parameters.
RESULTS:
The mesh generated and mid surface created is as shown.
