Fender Design in NX-CAD:
A fender is a piece of vehicle, situated over wheel. Its main objective is to protect pedestrian from sand, rocks and many more foreign particles that gets thrown when the wheel starts turning. It also protects internal components of vehicles from being getting damaged due to foreign objects. Various fender’s parts like internal mount, side and cowl mount that are joined with nuts to the fender prevents engine room compartment and suspension of the vehicle, etc. Fender is located in both front and backend of the vehicle.
Types of Fenders:
The full fender type is a standard sort of fender in which more material is used. This type of fender was used in the old types of the vehicles. Due to more usage of material, there was more wastage of material and gradual increase in the weight of the material.

So, some car makers made the A-pillar slimmer and chamfered to decrease the blind spots. And thus, it improves the driver’s vision.
Baffle is mounted on the above portion of the wheel so that the mud and stones are prevented from hitting the vehicle.
Thickness provided to the fender design is 0.75 mm.
