AIM :
Thicken the given surface by crating CLASS B and CLASS C surfaces and perform Draft Analysis and Tooling Axis.
TOOLING AXIS
STEP 1
Extract the base and create a point and axis system.
STEP 2
STEP 3
use the interesting command on XZ direction and create a reference line, after that create lines on that profile. create a bisecting line between that two lines and name it as X DIRECTION TOOLING CLEARING.
STEP 4
Repeat the same in the YZ direction and intersect the profile.
STEP 5
create a line on the profile, and another line at some angle because the profile has only one surface . after that bisect the line and name it as Y DIRECTION TOOLING CLEARING.
STEP 6
after that bisect the X DIRECTION TOOLING CLEARING and Y DIRECTION TOOLING CLEARING lines, the obtained line is TOOLING AXIS.
B SURFACE
Extract the surfaces from the class A surface.
untrim the surfaces.
offset the untrim surface in the reverse direction for 2.5 mm.
now trim the offset surfaces.
repeat the same with all the surfaces.
fillet the edge as the required dimensions.
join the first half and second half.
take a sketch and draw alien on the reference surface and sweep the line with reference to surface.
trim the first half and second half with the connecting element.
now trim the walls with the top arm rest surface.
B SURFACE IS CREATED
C SURFACE
As it is difficult to sweep the entire boundary, sweep it in parts,
first sweep the back base.
then sweep the remaining boundaries
after that join the sweep and class A surface.
NOW TRIM THE CLASS B AND JOINED CLASS A AND CLASS C TOGETHER.

DRAFTING
It is a tool that allows the user to ‘see’ whether the part they are designing can be removed from the tool being used to make it. In the case of plastic injection molded parts it also allows the designer to see if there is enough draft on the part to ensure that it can be correctly grained. I always use the tool with the axis direction method. Put the main axis on the draft direction line with Z being parallel to it. Select the tool then select the part body. You may need to reposition the axis again. The results window has 2 options 1 with just 3 color variants and the other with many variants. They can be edited by double-clicking on them to give you the result you desire. The colors show the different draft angles
step 1
place the compass on the tooling axis.
step 2
then click on the surface for analysis.
