OBJECTIVE
The Pressure value model is to be imported, error & missing components in the model are to be corrected and then mesh the value using three different element sizes (i.e)15 units, 7 units & 2 units. Interpret the results to identify the best mesh size value.
PROCEDURE
Import the pressure value model file select presentation parameters under quality criteria & check the errors in the geometry.
Geometry Check
Imported File
Select cones under surface to create coones surface in the missing areas & file hole option under cons is also used to create surface in the single cons.
Before the editing the surface the value & spring are two seperarte region and using the intersect option the value & spring are made to a single region.
Provide the property for each surface and then mesh the surface the procedure are similar to previous challenge

The results of the various element size and their mesh grade
Element size 15
The value is 15.55 & 14.45 for first & second image error is less than 6% but in the third image value is 9.9 which is around the spring where there are more curves.
MESH GRADE
ELEMENT SIZE 7
The value of element size is 6.91 & 6.79 for the first & second image, error is less than 3% but in the third image the error value is around 10%.
MESH GRADE
ELEMENT SIZE 2
The value of the element size is 2.007& 2.001 for first & second image where the error is less than 0.5%, in the third image the error value is around 2%.
MESH GRADE
CONCLUSION
The mesh was performed using three different size 15, 7 & 2. Mesh are used to connect the smaller nodes to discretize the larger objects to smaller size to perform easy calculations.
Element Size |
Minimum Error |
Maximum Error |
15 |
3.33 |
34 |
7 |
1.2 |
9.3 |
2 |
0.05 |
4 |
The variation in the minimum error and maximum error depicts the distortation in the formation of the mesh and error shows diiference from the element size we set. So from the table it clearly explains if the element size decreases the mesh grade is almost even so the element size must be less for the complex shapes to obtain proper calculations.

Week 12 - Final Project - Modelling and Analysis of a Datacenter
AIM The objective of the project is to create a data center model using macros in the Icepak. The main parts of the data center are Computer room air conditioning (CRAC), server cabinets, power distribution units and perforated tiles. Analyze the flow distribution and behaviour of temperature in the server stacks. Problem…
