1.ans.) Aim:-Model a Ceiling from the architecture tab above the walls at the first-floor level.
Tools Used:- Revit software, Architecture toolbar and various other options
Ceiling in Revit is also created same like as that of Floors or roofs creation. For this
Result:-
Ceiling has been modelled successfully using Architecture tab. It will look like
2.ans.) Aim:- Modelling a roof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of the ceiling.
Tools Used:- Revit software, Architecture toolbar and various other options
We can model a few roof simply by using Revit’s ‘Roof by Footprint’ tool. For more complex roof profile shapes, ‘Roof by Extrusion’ is typically used. Other ways of creating roofs are 3D massing using the Roof by face tool.To create a simple hip roof with the ‘Roof by Footprint’ tool, follow the steps below:-
Result:-
Roof modelled is shown in 3d view as shown below:-
3.ans.) Aim:- Creation of plan views for ground floor level and first-floor level including all the walls, floors, and components and Separating them to architecture and structural plans.
Tools Used:- Revit software, Architecture toolbar, Project browser and various other options
The structural plan view is the default view when you start a new project using a structural template. Most projects include at least one structural plan. New structural plan views are created automatically as you add new levels to your project.
The Floor plan view is the default view when you start a new project using a architectural template. Floor plan views are created automatically as you add new levels to your project.
As our Template for project was Architectural we will get architectural plan directly from Floor plans in project browser window.
Result:-
4.ans.) Aim:- Using annotate toolbar adding dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project file.
Tools Used:- Revit software, Architecture toolbar, Grids, Annotate toolbar and various other option
Procedure to add dimensions:-
Results:-
Dimensions are now added to Structural and architectural plans of project.
5.ans.) Aim:- Creating a sheet template from the view tab and adjusting the parameters on the sheet to add appropriate views.
Tools Used:- Revit software, View tab, Sheets and various other option
In Revit, we create a sheet view for each sheet in the construction document set. We can then place multiple drawings or schedules on each sheet view.
We can Create views on a project template before starting building the model to streamline the project documentation process.
6.ans.) Aim:- Using the elevation tab create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South and West.
Tools used:- Revit, View tab, Elevations options etc.
Elevation views are part of the default template in Revit Architecture. When we create a project with the default template, 4 elevation views are included: north, south, east, and west. It is in elevation views where we sketch level lines. For each level line that we sketch, a corresponding plan view is created.
we can also add extra elevation view using Elevation option from view tab and placing at a desired location.
Go to elevations option under project browser to see desired elevation views.
Result:- We obtain the different elevation views as shown below.
7.ans.) Aim:- Produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction.
Tools used:- Revit, View tab, Section option
Sections views cut through the model. You can draw them in plan, section, elevation, and detail views. Section views display as section representations in intersecting views. It Increase the accuracy of all views and Provide views of specific parts of your model.
Similarly cut sections for all rooms.
Results:-
Section cut of all rooms are obtained as below:-
8.ans.) Aim:- Classify the views, Plan Views, Section Views, and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using Properties browser.
Tools used:- Revit, Property browser, Sheets, Views etc.
A view type defines some graphics properties, such as a reference label and tags for elevations, callouts, or sections. It can also specify a view template to apply to a new view, and whether template updates should be applied to existing views.
Revit provides standard view types for 2D views and 3D views, such as floor plans, elevations, and sections. If desired, we can duplicate a view type and customize it to use certain settings or a particular view template. Custom view types allow us to apply consistent settings to new views quickly and easily.
We can create view types for:
In project browser all views are visible. We will insert these views one by one in sheets.
Similarly add all views in the sheets.
Results:-
Plan Views, Section Views, and Elevation views are classified to Design category using Properties browser.
9.ans.) Aim:- Using the sheet template creation of multiple sheets.
Tools used:- Revit, Property browser, Sheets, Views etc.

Results:-
Sheets obtained after adding all elements:-
10.ans.) Aim:- Creating a camera-specific view or a 3D view in each room ( living, dining, bedroom). Based on the views createing a new set of sheets.
Camera are very useful in Revit as they help us to visualize a particular location in a building. We can add multiple camera views for various locations as desired.
Now add all camera views created to sheets.
Similarly add all views in sheets.
Results:-
Camera views are created and added in sheets as sgown bwlow:-
