OBJECTIVE:
Mesh the given Component with a Mesh size of 5mm.
Create connector and Attach the various parts of the given model
1. Right_Rail_2 & Front_truss_1:- Seam-Quad(angled+capped+L)
2. Left_Rail_2 & Front_truss_1:- Quad elements
3. Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Right_Rail_1:- Spot weld with 3 Layers and 5 mm Diameter
4. Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Left_Rail_1:- Hexa (Adhesive)
5. Rear_truss_2 & Right_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
6. Rear_truss_2 & Left_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
7. Right_Rail_1 & Right_Rail_2:- Spot-weld with Rigid Elements
8. Left_Rail_1 & Left_Rail_2:- Spot-weld with Spring Elements
9. Rest all the component left Join them with suitable connectors

PROCEDURE:
1.MESHING:
All the components are meshed at once by keeping the target element size as 5mm and element type as MIXED.

2.CREATING THE MATERIAL AND PROPERTY

The new property is created and the the newly created Material is assigned in the Property. The newly created property is assigned to each of the compoenents in the Model.

3.CREATING CONNECTORS BETWEEN THE COMPONENTS:
i)SEAM QUAD (ANGLED + CAPPED + L) BETWEEN RIGHT RAIL 2 & FRONT TRUSS 1 :

The Seam connector in connectors tool in the 2-d tool bar is selected

The node path is selected in the Seam quad connector and the Spacing 0f 5 mm which is the distance between the elements of the two components is given. The Connector type is Seam Quad (Angeled + Capped + L) & the connector is created.

ii)QUAD ELEMENTS BETWEEN LEFT RAIL 2 & FRONT TRUSS 1:
The Seam connector in connectors tool in the 2-d tool bar is selected

The nodes are selected in the Seam quad connector and the Spacing 0f 5 mm which is the distance between the elements of the two components is given. The Connector type is Quad & the connector is created.

iii)SPOT WELD OF 3 LAYERS & 5 MM DIAMETER BETWEEN FORNT TRUSS 2 , FRONT TRUSS 1 & RIGHT RAIL 1:
The Spot Connector option in the 2-d Connectors is selected.

In the Spot connector tool, the nodes for which the Connectors are to be created are selected. The SPACING value is kept at 5mm and the TOLERENCE Value is kept at 10mm. The Connector Type is WELD & Diameter value is kept at 5mm and the number of layers is choosen to be 3. The 3 Components between which the Connectors are to be created are selected and then the Create button is hit.

The Spot Weld connector with 3 Layers and 5mm diameter are cretedbetween the 3 Components I.e Front Truss 1, Front Truss 2 & Right Rail 1.

iv)HEXA ADHESIVE BETWEEN FRONT TRUSS 2,FRONT TRUSS 1 & LEFT RAIL 1:
The Seam connectors from the connectors tool panel is selected

The Nodes for which the adhesive connector is to be produced is selected along with the component between which the connector is to be created and the thickness of the connector is given after measuring the distance between the nodes of the two different components is measured.

v)BOLT CONECTOR BETWEEN REAR TRUSS 2 & RIGHT RAIL 2 :
The Bolt Connectors from the 2-d tools panel are choosen.

Choose the nodes , Components ,the bolt type & Create the hole if none option as shown in the figure below to make the bolt connection between the two components.

The mesh surrounding the holes created during the creation fo the bolt Connectors is cleaned up.

Check the quality for the connectors for the given tolerance through the quality tool in the connector tool panel

vi)BOLT CONNECTOR BETWEEN REAR TRUSS 2 & LEFT RAIL 2 :
The Bolt Connectors from the 2-d tools panel are choosen.
Choose the nodes , Components ,the bolt type & Create the hole if none option as shown in the figure below to make the bolt connection between the two components.

vii) SPOT WELD WITH RIGID ELEMENTS BETWEEN RIGHT RAIL 1 & RIGHT RAIL 2:
The Spot Weld tool in the 1-d Elements Panel is Selected

In the Spot Weld panel, The Spot weld Using the nodes Option is ticked on & the Independent Node & the Dependent Nodes from the other Compnents are Slected & the element type is selected as rigid before hitting the create Button.

The Rigid Element is created between the two components as shown in the figure below

viii) SPOT WELD WITH SPRING ELEMENTS BETWEEN LEFT RAIL 1 & LEFT RAIL 2:
The Spot Weld tool in the 1-d Elements Panel is Selected

In the Spot Weld panel, The Spot weld Using the nodes Option is ticked on & the Independent Node & the Dependent Nodes from the other Compnents are Slected & the element type is selected as rigid before hitting the create Button.

The Spring Element is created between the two components as shown in the figure below

xi) HINGE TYPE BOLT CONNECTOR BETWEEN REAR TRUSS 1 & REAR TRUSS 2:
In the Bolt Connector tool, the connetor type is choosen as Hinge & a tolerence of 20 mm is given. The nodes where the connectors are supposed to realize are choosen & then components between which the connectors are to be realized are selected. The Number of layers are kept at 2.
The option to create the hole if none exist are choosen and then the create button is hit to create the connector.

The Hinge Type bolt connector is created between the Rear Truss 1 & Rear Truss 2 as shown below in the figure

RESULT:
All the Connectors metioned in the Objective were realised successfully in the given model
