1)The project i choose to build is an office building
2) Assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modelling
My building is constructed in the commercial area, Kochi, kerala.
My building is constructed in the plain area(geographic)
Infront of my building there is a three-lane road with the width of 4.5m.
As per the NBC, the height limit will be given in NBC part V-1, (National building code).
The size of the rooms also given in the NBC part V-1.
3) AIM :Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs
Procedure:
Step 1:
First, we have to open the Revit. Create a project using the Structural template.
Draw the horizontal and vertical grid, intersecting each other, and give a name for the horizontal grid as A. Give the name for the
vertical grid as 1.
Select the coordinate option in the manage tab, and select the specified coordinates at the point option and click on the
horizontal grid.
After selecting the horizontal grid, the specified shared coordinates tab will appear.
In the specify shared coordinates tab, we need to enter the coordinates for north/south as 0'-0".
Click on the co-ordinate option in the manage tab and select the specify coordinates at the point and click on the vertical grid.
After selecting the vertical grid, the specified shared coordinates tab will appear.
In that specify the shared coordinates tab, and enter the coordinates for east/west as 0'-0".Save the project as Structural Concrete Building.
Step 2:
Add the foundations with the size of 1800X1200mm, and columns of size 300X450mm at the junctions of the grids.
Step 3:
Add the beams of size 400X400m to the column layout.
Step 4:
Add the floor of the thickness of 300mm
Step 5:
Select all the columns and beams copy them to the clipboard and select paste click on assign to selected levels a dialogue box
appears.
Select the first floor and copy it to the second floor, third floor, Fourth floor.
Create a shaft opening for the elevator and staircases
Click on the Structural tab click on the shaft. .Place the shaft at the required
position
Click on the truss and create the at the top of the roof.
3d view:
Side view:
Result:The given components are successfully included based on the type of structure using the structural model.
4)
Aim: To include the given components based on the type of structure selected using the architectural model.
Procedure:
Step 1:
Link the structural model to the architectural model by using the manage tab and click on the manage link.
Select the revit file
Copy the levels and grids using the copy monitor tool.
Creating floor plan:
Click on the architecture tab walls select the walls of the thickness of 300 mm.
Add the interior partition walls of the thickness of 200mm.
Click on the stairs and create the stairs.
Placing of components:
Click on the Insert tab.
Select load family options and load all the requirements like doors, windows, chairs, desks, shelves, dining tables, water closets,
Sinks light fixtures, etc.
Place all the components at the required positions.
By using the room tags place all the names of the and the dimensions.
From the architectural tab select the sealing and create a ceiling.
Place the lights at all the required positions.
Select all the components of the first floor copy them into the clipboard and paste them up to the 4th floor.
Select roof in the architectural tab and select the thickness of the roof is 400mm.
Create a roof at the top.
Load all the plants and exterior lighting fixtures from the load family.
Place the plants beside the office building and Street lights across the building.
Result:
All components are successfully included based on the type of structure using the architectural model.
5)
Aim: To provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the given details with categories and appropriate
sheet templates included.
Procedure:
Step 1:

Select view and select Section A-A and place it in the sheet.
Click on the View tab and select the sheet and rename it as Section B-B.
Select view and select Section B-B and place it in the sheet
Result:
Provided a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model and listed the given details with categories and appropriate
sheet templates included.
6)
Aim: To render images of the 3D model produced and to include the rendered images on the drawing sheets using the rendering
settings.
Procedure:
Step 1:
Create camera views for the interior rooms like conference room, Office room, Cafeteria, Toilets, Topographics features, Structura
framing etc.
Select render under the View tab and adjust the settings.
Render all the Camera views.
Select sheet and place all the views in the respective sheets
Rendering from interior rooms:
Click on the View tab and select the sheet and rename it as a Conference room.
Select view and select Conference room and place it in the sheet.
Office room:
