Aim:- To draft the Elevation, Floor plan, Kitchen layout, Column schedule and Raft layout by using AutoCAD
Introduction:-
- The Elevation, Floor plan, Kitchen layout, Column schedule and Raft layout are imporatant drawings in construction
- Elevation gives a front and side elevation and also a section of that drawing
- Floor plan is a basic drawing that gives the idea of building look like
- Kitchen layout is important in the building
- Column schedule plays an imporatnt role in the drawing
- Raft layout gives the center to center distance between the column and also it gives the dimension of the foundation
AutoCAD:-
It is essential to draft the geometry
The different tools required in this drafts are construction line (XL), text(MTEXT), donut (DO), fillet (F), offset (O), Hatching (H) and Hatch edit (HE).
Procedure:-
- Go to start menu, click on Start drawing
- Type stratup (Enter) in command line
- Enter the new value of start up:1
- Go to application menu and select new or type new in command line
- In the "create new drawing" dialogue box contains imperial type of systems and metric type of system
- We select the metric system in the "start from scratch" option
- After that in Advance setup option select the decimal unit system in the units
The above procedure should be followed every time when the new sheet is opened
Entering the start up command in the command line

Entering the value 1 for the start up
When we go to the new file then we get this file select the metric from start from scratch
Then advance setup setting should be done by clicking OK
Keep the units in decimal and adjust precision then click next

Keep angle in decimal degree and adjust precision then click next
Select the angle measurement in east and click on next

Select angle direction in counter clockwise and click on next

Keep the width as 12m and length of 9m as default and click on finish
Aim:- To draft the elevation by using AutoCAD

Procedure:-
By using direct distance entry method
- Here all the units are in metric (millimetre)
- Select the construction line tool by entering XL (Enter) in the command line
- Select the vertical line and place it any where on the screen
- Next by using a same command (construction line) select horizontal line and place it on the screen
To draw the plan
- Take a offset of 630mm from the top xl line
- Take a offset of 1250mm from the left in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 1195mm from the 1250mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 365mm from the 1195mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 10mm from every offseted line in both +ve and -ve x-direction

To draw the front elevation
- Project the lines by using the command XL (constrction line) from the plan
- Take a offset of 100mm from the bottom xl line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 2100mm from the bottom of 100mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 488mm from the 2100mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 12mm from the 488mm line in +ve y-direction

To draw the carcase elevation
- Project the lines by using the command XL (constrction line) from the plan
- Take a offset of 12mm from the left in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 1223mm from the 12mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 1200mm from the 1223mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 365mm from the 1200mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 1195mm from the 1250mm line in +ve x-direction
- Take a offset of 365mm from the 1195mm line in +ve x-direction

In left side
- Take a offset of 100mm from the bottom xl line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 720mm from the bottom of 100mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 1280mm from the 720mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 488mm from the 1280mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 12mm from the 488mm in +ve x-direction
In middle side
- Take a offset of 500mm from the 120mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 180mm from the 500mm line in +ve y-direction
- Take a offset of 300mm from the 720mm line in +ve y-direction
- Again take a offset of 300mm from the below 300mm line in +ve y-direction

- Again take a offset of 300mm from the below 300mm line in +ve y-direction
- Again take a offset of 300mm from the below 300mm line in +ve y-direction
In right side
- Take a offset of 900mm from the base line in +ve y-direction
- All the required values are get by the left and middle side projections
- Then we get 1180mm, 500mm, and 12mm in +ve y-direction
Side elevations
- Take a offset of 900mm from the base line which has a width of 630mm in +ve y-axis
- Take a offset of 1180mm from 900mm line in +ve y-axis
- Take a offset of 520mm from 1180mm line in +ve y-axis
