Introduction

PG graduate Doing Ph.D. at VIT University Chennai. I have Five years of working experience as an assistant professor. I have joined VIT University as a full time research scholar. My research area is Solar thermal desalination. I have good theoretical knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and Computational fluid dynamics. I wish to shift my career to that of a CFD Engineer. I started practicing CFD by analyzing the solar still, which involves heat transfer, turbulence, and multiphase models. Skill lync gives experience in ANSA and Fluent. I can do good-quality 2D and 3D meshing in ANSA. I have good practice simulating Conjugate heat transfer, aerodynamics, and Multiphase problems. Now that I have completed my experimental work, I am working on publishing a paper.

Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

Objective:

Aim:  To mesh the given valve for the mesh size of 1mm, 3mm and 5mm. Procedure: Run the Geometry check for single cons etc. Do the geometry clean up by filling the hole , cut the faces which is exceeding above the mesh length Assign the PID for the desired surfaces. Here PID assigned for base, valve head, inlet, outlet,…

            Objective:

Aim: To simulate the Ahamed body and to find the coefficient of drag Background theory: The Ahmed body was described originally by S. R. Ahmed in 1984 . Three main features were seen in the wake: 1. The A recirculation region that is formed as the flow separates at the top of the vertical back surface of the model 2. The…

Week 4 - CHT Analysis on Exhaust port

            Objective:

Aim: To do a conjugate heat transfer analysis of the exhaust port Why CHT analysis? There are three modes of heat transfer, they are conduction, convection and radiation. Conjugate heat transfer analysis in CFD can combine all these three modes of heat transfer or two. Effectively integrating heat transfer in both fluids…
