Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
WIRING HARNESS ROUTING AND PACKAGING
AIM:
To download the given CAD data and define it in the Electrical Part Design Workbench as Electrical Support (P-Clamp), Electrical Back Shell, and Corrugated Tubes by assigning all the necessary electrical properties and finally adding the corrugated tubes into the catalogue under the “Slit COT” family.
Q1. Download following cad data & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Q2. Download following Back shell cad data & define it as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Q3. Create Following Corrugated tubes & Add them in Catalogue under “Slit COT” family.
Name | ID (mm) | OD (mm) | Thickness (mm) |
15mm COT | 12 | 15 | 1.5 |
20mm COT | 17 | 20 | 1.5 |
35mm COT | 32 | 35 | 1.5 |
10mm COT | 7 | 10 | 1.5 |
5mm COT | 3 | 5 | 1 |
Conclusion
The given CAD data was successfully defined using the Electrical Part Design Workbench. The clamp (P-Clamp) was defined as an Electrical Support, the Back Shell was defined as an Electrical Back Shell, and the Corrugated Tubes were created and added to the “Slit COT” family in the catalogue. With all necessary electrical properties assigned, the components are now ready to be used for wiring harness routing and assembly in CATIA. “I have attached the required files and report in the browse section for your kind reference.” |
