AIM:
To create connector and Attach the various parts In the giben Model according to the Given conditions.
PROCEDURE:
1) The give model was imported in an new optistruct format using import model option.
2) The components are assembled Together in to an single assembly by using Assemblies option in the tool pannerl or by right clicking in the collector area, and choosing new Assemblies.
3) Initially 2D mesh was performed in the Given components with the element size 10 and necessary element cleanup were done in some places.
4) according to the given conditions the connectors are made by using Connectors Option From the 1D pannel.
5) There are diffrent types of connectors in which Spot, Bolt,Area, and Seam are widely used in industrial applications.
6) The connector 1given in the conditions Seam-Quad(angled+capped+L) is done in mentioned component, by choosing Seam from the connectors pannel> choosing the nodes in the component> selecting the components> Giving necessary tolerances and spacing> coosing the typeSeam-Quad(angled+capped+L) > Create.
7) The connector was created as per Given conditions.
8) The connectors were made and the surfaces are atteached as per the given conditions.
9) The connectors from the spot weld are made by choosing Spot option from the connectors pannel and coosing the nodes and selecting the components and choosing the Type as Weld and choose create.
10) The Bolt creation is also done by the same operation by choosing Bolt option from the connectors Pannel and choosing the nodes and select the components and choose the type of Bolt and if the componenet doesn't have hole choose Create hole if None Option and choose create.
11) The Adhesive Connector is also done by the same procedure and only the type is changed as Hexa Adhesive in Seam Option .
12) By changing the type as Rigid and Spring from the Spot option The Rigid and Spring Links are created.
13) The Created Links and attachments Are cross checked and noted as correct by visualizing the Realized Status from the connnector Browser which is opened by Veiw> Browsers> Hypermesh> Connectors.
14) The links are marked as greeenh in colour if all the attachments are realized as per the given conditions.
15.The Rest of all components are Joined using suitable connector By following Same procedure and changing the Type as per needed.
CONCLUSION:
By This Procedure I've came to know about the Types Of Connectors and Links and How to Create Them In the Place We needed. Connectors are the Option which is Used to connect Two or More components.
