Hood:
The Hood has 4 sub parts:
The Inner Extract:
fixing the unchecked surfaces first
running the geometry checks
Tools-> checks -> geometry
The checks starts running when the execute button is clicked. we select the various checks we need rectify and the part on which the checks need to be performed
we will get a dialog box showing the error found by the check manager. we can try to auto fix the errors and manually solve the errors. After solving the errors we will try to extract the midsurface auto automid surface, since the hood is a sheet metal component the thickness will be uniform hence the extraction will be very easy.
Selecting the midsurface option from the faces diaog box and selecting the skin option, selecting the component/surface one want to extract the midsurface. make sure the green, red, blue area of the midsurace dialog box is properly defined
run the default geometry checks once again to remove of all the errors which might happen due to the offseting the surfaces. after that do manual visual inspection to reverify that quality of the midsurface. changing the leength to the target element size. As we cn see that the hood is symmetrical we can mesh only one side of the hood and reflect it to the other side .

Constuction lines which ae not required are suppressed and any new construction line are made accordingly.

performing geometric cleanup, removing the excessive construction lines and constructing new ones where ever required.
