Procedure:-
1. Firstly, Import the stp file.
Click the Open Tab
Model are as follows:-
1. Outer extract:-
2.Inner extract :-
3.Hinge reinforcement extract:-
4.Latch reinforcement extract:-
2.Now, select the outer extract model and for the geometry error.
Command: {Tool>>Checks>>Geometry>>Execute}
Now click execute tab.
If any errors occure it shows erroe in red colours and if no error found it shows green tick in status bar.
3.After that , delete the surface as the model is symmetrical so we have to cut our model.
Command:- {Utilities>>delete>>select the surface>>enter}
4.Now, take mid-surface.
Command:- { Topo>>Faces>>Mid-surface>>skin>>select surface>> }
And Toggle the unnecessary lines-
''Toggle lines are in orange colour.''
5.After that go to the mesh and set perimeter size.
Command:- { Mesh>>Perimeters>>Length>>Perimeter>>select all surface>>length= 5>>ok}
Select the size as per our target size.
6.Now set Mesh Parameter & Quality Criteria.
7.Now, mesh the model.
Command:- { Mesh>>Mesh Generation>>Free>>select surface}
Fail element that are shown above.
So now go to shell mesh and select improve
Select fail element area and press middle mouse button or enter tab.
Here , mesh generation is complete.
8.As we delete symmetric part of the model now refect the model:-
Command:- { Utilities>>Transform>>copy>>select all surfaces>>enter>>symmetry>>apply>>ok}
9.Final Model:-
Outer Extract:-
10.Now, Follow the same procedure for all parts.
Inner Extract:-
Hinge reinforcement extract:-
Latch reinforcement extract:-
Conclusion:-
In this challenge , we learn about mid-surfacing and mesh generation as per the quality criteria and with proper mesh flow.
