WEEK 2 TASK 1-
Objective- Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with the following details:
1)- In this Model i have used Pulse generator as to make arrangments to make it on for 2 sec to enable a switch for the operation of Solenoid.I made this Source arrangment by controlling the pulse delay and pulse width of pulse generator.
2)- So we need to enable the switch by some arrangments is to be made for making it on and off on the 2 secs alteration. switch will read the physuical value instead of Sumlink value so we need a simulink-PS converter.
3)- A DC power supply needed for the operation of Solenoid so we connected at battery parallel to the circuit also we used electrical reference for this circuit.
4)- Solenoid has some ports where we use one line connection and one common to complete the circuit by battery and switch. if it will work as per the situation then we have output port R which will connect through a sensor. The sensor will have to analyse the movement of the solenoid. For that we will use ideal translational motion sensor. Remaining common port of solenoid and common port of sensor will be connected by mechanical reference with solver.
5)- Remaning two ports at sensor will show the velocity and position of the solenoid. for that we will use ps-Simulink converter.
6)- In the graph we can see that we have some movement observe between 2-4 secs. and between 0-2 the movement value is zero.
So it means for intially 2 secs the solenoid is not gettting any supply to velocity and position is xero after that between 2-4 secs solenoids gets some source of energy so its excited and captured in the graph as a position and velocity.

WEEK 2 TASK 2-
Objective- Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions.
Condition- Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds. Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise.
1)- Firstly for making the arrangements of temperature difference at different time level i have used signal builder. In the signal builder i have made the arrangment as per mentioned in the question. also provided the scope to see the behavious of that.
2)- For taking the temperature reading we need temperature sensor through simscape. and between them we need a simulink-PS converter. it will connect to S port of the sensor.
3)- Its a Thermal network so we need to connect port B of the sensor by Thermal reference with the solver. Port A at Thermistor will work as a input, which is provided by Sensor port B. Again we need to provide a source of supply to the thermistor so we used battery and connect the circuit by a current sensor. Which will use to enable the switch as per the desired value. For this electrical circuit offcource we used Electrical reference.
4)- To see the behvaiour of the thermistor in the form of current we used scope for this analysis by using ps-simulink converter.
5)- Now i have taken a switch where input source is the output of the current sensor. and provide a threshold value to it. provided to switch two constants as 1 and 0. for getting its output and want to control it we needed controled voltage source for the DC motor. also for this electrical circuit we used electrical reference and solver. now we used motion sensor to see the behavious of the fan in the form of velocity and angle.
7)- In this model when the temp will reach above 25 deg cels then fan will be on otherwise it will be off which should be between 10-30 secs. we are getting the output as the same. as velocity and angle getting high between 10-30 secs.
