Week 11 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section
A pillar Design with Master Section
AIM:To design A -PILLAR , from the given input mastersection and CLASS A surface.
Objective: The main objective of this challenge is to understand the given master section to create a solid body and B-side features for a given class A surface, by considering all the design parameters.
CLASS A SURFACE:

TOOLING AXIS:
- Now we create tooling axis for the Class A. First a create axis system for where we want, then we create intersect based on the axis system.
- Extract the bottom surface and insert point on a surface then create lind based on a point.

Draft analysis for class A surface:
The craft analysis check is performed on the class A surface before we create the solid part from that class A surface, to check whether the given class A surface is drafted properly or not. The draft angle for a plastic component is 0.5deg to 3deg).

CLASS B SURFACE:
To create the class B surface initially, I measured the thickness of the master section (2.5mm). I offset the class A surface 2.5mm to the inside direction. The styling fillets on the class A surface are not offset properly, it created the patch on the offset surface. I used the sweep command to close the patch on the offset surface.

Class C surface:
- Class C is nothing but its connecting part of Class A & B.
- Unhide the class A and take boundary of its and now boundary select the all corner of a class A and use sweep commends the we get a class c of boundary in Class A.
- Then trim it finally get class C.

Solid part body:
To create the solid part body, I used closed surface command in the part-workbench. I gave the closed surface as an input in the closed surface command.

Dog House creation:
- Create sketch for a dog house, and pad it.
- Then pad this sketch, now shell the pad with 2.5 mm.
- Now create a ribs is inside a dog house, create a sketch for a ribs, use master section.
- Then pad this sketch . Next use add with dog house, get a ribs for the body.
