AIM: For the given Roof styling, create an assembly by developing the essential flanges for the outer roof and creating the reinforcements.
INTRODUCTION:
Car Roof
An automobile roof or car top is the portion of the automobile that sits above the passenger compartment, protecting the vehicle's occupants from sun, wind, rain and other external elements. Because the earliest the automobiles were designed in an era of horse-drawn carriages, early automobile roofs used similar materials and designs.
Roof Rails
Roof rails or Reinforcements serves as a basic support for transporting things on the roof. Following are the roof rails that are generally present in each car:-
- FRONT ROOF RAIL
- REAR ROOF RAIL
- BOW ROOFS
- CENTRE ROOF RAIL
Front Roof Rail
Front roof rail is the rail which joins the windshield glass, inner panel and body side outer.

Rear Roof Rail
Rear roof rail is the rail which joins the rear glass shield and the rear doors. Its design varies with respect to opening of back doors.

Bow Roof Rail
Bow roofs are introduced to improve the torsional stiffness and load bearing capacity of the roof structure. The number of bow roofs depends on the length of roof.
