Design of backdoor

Report:

- Given Parent surface is taken.

- Few repairs are to be done to obtain the actual parent as shown below.

- A new part file is created named as Inner panel.

- First, offsets are taken for all surfaces.

- Parallel curves are used to split the offsets to obtain position of rubber filling.

- Sweeps are used to obtain connecting surfaces.

- Again offsets of parent surfaces are taken shorter than earlier.

- The surface offsets are spilitter with respect to connecting surfaces.

- The inner panel is obtained as shown in the figure below.

- Both the Parent surface and Inner panel surface are copied into the final Product file.

- Thickening or part bodies could not be formed as there was trouble understanding the videos with respect to CATIA.

- The below image show the obtained Back door CATproduct.
