INTRODUCTION:
Blocks:-
- Library of blocks can be build up consisting of the parts that you require many times in your workday. These blocks can be stored in a seperated floder and even on a network, so that all drafters have access to them. Eg., plumbing parts, valves elbows etc. as well as electric symbols or furniture.
To Insert A Block:-
1. Click home tab>Block panes>Insert, Find
2. To insert an incom or a bloxkname from the clock definitions displayed in gallery. Click the location for the clock refences.
- Select an icon or a blockname form the block definitions displayed in gallery. Click the location for the block refence.
- Click therecent Blocks option. Front the Blocks Palette, clicki and place the block reference. You can also use the drag-and-drop method for speed but this method doesn't use the settings speciofied under Insertion Options.
3. At the bottom of the blocks palette. choose one or more options to control the placement, scale, rotation, and automatic repetition. If you want the object in teh block to be inserted as individual object of as a single block, select Explode.
4. Click OK
Attributes:-
- An attributes ia a label or tag that attaches data to a block. Examples of data that might be contained inan attribute are part numbers, prices, comments, and owner's names.
- Attributes information extracted from a drawing cabn be used in a spreadsheet or database to produce a parts list or a bill or materialsl. Toc can associate more that one attribute with a blocks, provided that each attribute ahs a different tag. When you define an attribute, you specify
- A unique tag that identifies the attrubute by name.
- A prompt that can be displayed as the block is inserted.
- A default value that is used if a variable value is not entered at the prompt.
DEFAULT PROCEDURES:
- Open the AutoCAD application frommy desktop
- Click file menu select New to creat a New Diagram
- Select Default setting for Metric or Imperial (feet and inches) setting for whatever need for Given diagram
- In default setting click is use a wizard and in that advance setting and set unit as Decimal and precission as 0 Press Enter.
- Set Angle Measurement as EAST
- Set Angle Direction as Counter-Clockwise direction
- Set Area of drawing for as per given diagram size, Because of will Draw the whole drawing for in single page.
- Finish
- And Keep Ortho ON And where its neccesary to off the ortho can off
- Object snap ON
- Enter.

Aim: To creat the titleblock bamed Custom1_titleblock and Custom2_titleblock using block and attributes command in AutoCAD.
Step by Step Procedure:
- Initially set the units of the drawing as decimal (millimeters).
- Now, Set the limits of the drawing
- Specify lowet left corner:(o,o)
- Specify upper righty corner:(20000,7000)
- Choose line command
- Specify first point> anywhere in the diagram
- Specify the next point >440 Keep the cursor upside
- Specify next point >600, Enter
- Choose offset command]
- Specify offset distance >300 for right side viertical line
- Choose Break At Point command to separate the bottom inside line between the right and left side line
- Now choose the offset command
- Secify offset distance 40
- Specify object > click on the horizontal line and take cursor upside
- Specify the offset distacne >30
- Specify object > click on the horizontal line and take cursor upside
- Secify offset distance 40
- Specify object > click on the horizontal line and take cursor upside
- Secify offset distance 40
- Specify object > click on the horizontal line and take cursor upside

- All the text can be placed in a proper position by sing move command
- By used Quick Properties to incresed the size of 'TITTLE' text its size of 15
- Provided text figure are given below

- Now to give the colours by for text and table by using Layer properties
- Click Layer properties
- Click on New Layer
- Give the Layer name>TITLEBLOCK and TITLEBLOCK TEXT and TITLE BLOCK HEADER TEXT.
- Select for what we given colour
- Layer which are assigned are shown in below fig. the following layer propersties are used by the following diagram of WAREHOUSE DOOR and SYMBOL LEGENT Diagram.

- Now provied the all text and table colour by usign layer properties
- Now completed diagram of Custom_1 titleblock are shown in below

- Now to Creat Block
- Choose BLOCK command by entering 'B' in command prompt.
- Dialouge bow eill be open Name >Custom1_titleblock
- Next click on> pick point
- Block specify insertion base point> click on any one corner of the table
- Slect object> take a cross window and select whole template
- Block select object> enter
- Click on> Retain
- Scale uniform >Mark it by clicking through curser
- Allow exploding> Mark it by click through cursor as shown below

- Hence its Converted to Block is ready.

- Now insert the block by using Command Entering 'i' in command prompt
- Now block window are appear on display
- Slect Current Drawing or Recent tab
- Slect the Custom1_tetleblock and drag the cursor to move the diagram page to provide wherever necessary place as given below diargam

- Now set the current layer of TITLEBLOCK
- Choose the line command
- Specify first point @anywhere
- Specify next point >530 downwards, keep cursor to right side horizontally
- Specify next point >2350 And keep the cursor to upside vertically
- Specify next point >530 ,Enter
- Now select the offset command
- Specify offset distance 100
- Specify object > click on the horizontal line and take cursor upside

- Again choose offset command
- Secify offset distance 390 from the rigth side vertical line

- Now Change the current layer to the text layer of TITLE BLOCK HEADER TEXT

- Mnage textile >New>Style Name> TITLEBLOCK-2

- Text Heigth>25

Step by Step Procedure:
- In the same drawing sheet will draw the WAREHOUSE DOOR 1
- Initial setting are are also same as above the titleblock diagram
- So now click the layer properties
- Give the layer name >DOOR1
- Set the layer DOOR1 as current layer
- Slect the colour as code of 34
- Following DOOR1 and DOOR2 are using the same layer setting to draw
- The layer which are assigned are shown in below

- Now choose the Rectangle command to creat the rectangle door frame
- Specify first lower left corner @any where in the one side of page
- Specify next right upper corner @2330,2750
- Now choose the EXPLODE commadn to use split the rectangle box to the sinlge line
- Now choose the offset command
- Specify distacne 250 from upper line to the horizontally lower side
- Now choose the offset command
- Specify distacne 230 from right side line to the vertically left side
- Now choose the offset command
- Specify distacne 250 from bottom side line to the horizontally upper side
- and used line thickness 30mm to show the darness of the fram like given below diagram.
- To creat the DImenaion style
- Click Annotation tab
- Click Dimension >Manage dimension style
- Style name> WAREHOUSE DOOR
- Slect the text colour code of 224
- And Dimension line, Extension line colou code of 3
- Select the linear dimension to provide the linear dimension as given below diagranm
- And similar way to provide the all dimension wherever necessary as shown below

- Now to split the door portion as per given diagram
- Choose Divided command
- Select divide object
- Enter the number of segments >4 vertically portion
- Again Choose Divided command
- Select divide object
- Enter the number of segments >3Horixontal portion
- Now change the current layer to 0 Layer for mention
- Now choose the line command to draw the line by using given node point.
- Then choose the offset command to offset the 20mm to all line inside and outside like given below fig.

- All the portion are splited by using line command and offset command like given below digram

- Again change the layer to the DOOR1
- Set current layer and select the all inside line to change the DOOR1 layer the colour code of 34.
- Now Choose the trim command to trim the unwandet line. like follwoing fig.

- Again choose the offset command to draw the inside rectangle shape door design
- Specify offset distance >20
- Specify object > click on the object to cursor drag the cursor inside
- Again choose the offset command
- Specify offset distance >50
- Specify object > click on the object to cursor drag the cursor inside
- Now draw the line one side end corner to the inside rectangle box corner as shown in below diagram.

- Choose the rectangle comamnd
- Specify first left corner point @anywhre
- Then drag the cursor to what need size of handle to creat it
- As ame vertical rectanle shape are created
- Choose the ARC command to provide the arc shape at the bothe of ends of rectangle

- Now Move the handle to place in proper postion as it show handle as shown in below
- Now Provide the text by using Annotaion option

- Now to Creat Block
- Choose BLOCK command by entering 'B' in command prompt.
- Dialouge bow eill be open Name >DOOR-1 2330 X 2750
- Next click on> pick point
- Block specify insertion base point> click on any one corner of the table
- Slect object> take a cross window and select whole template
- Block select object> enter
- Click on> Retain

- Now to creat the Text
- Here i used same Text syle for TITLE BLOCK2.1
- Click Annotation tab>Multi line
- Mnage textile >New>Style Name> TITLEBLOCK-2.1
- Font styled > Arial
- Text Heigth>20

- Now choose thge Multiline text to provied all the Text for wherever required in diagram
- All the text can be placed in a proper position by sing move command

- Click on insert>Filed Option to provide Names
- It will open a dialouge box
- In dialouge box select field Name>Name Object
- Select Name> SINGLE GANGE SWITCH
- Format > Title Case asshown in below'press OK

- Insert name as follwoing diagrame are given below

- Similary all the Names are inserted the table as given below diagram

- Now to Choose the EXPLODE command to hide the background shade of Text
- Slect the object , Enter

- Click the layer properties to creat the door layer with colour
- Click New layer>Give the layer name>DOOR
- Slect the colour of the door layer is 32
- Set the current layer

- Specify the lower eft corner (0,0)

- To creat the Dimension style
- Click Annotation tab
- Click Dimension >Manage dimension style
- Style name> CHLNG 9 DOORS
- Slect the text colour code of 42
- And Dimension line, Extension line colou code of 3
- Text height >3"
- Select the linear dimension to provide the linear dimension as given below diagranm
- And similar way to provide the all dimension wherever necessary as shown below


- Now choose the offset command
- Specify the offset distance is 2" inside the rectangle door Outliine
- Agiain take offset command
- Specify the offset distance 1.5" inside from the rectangle door outline as shown in below fig.

- Text Heigth> 4"

- Now choose thge Multiline text to provied all the Text for wherever required in diagram
- Hence D2 is created as shown in below
- And now trim the bottom unwanted line
- Now to Creat Block
- Choose BLOCK command by entering 'B' in command prompt.
- Dialouge bow eill be open Name >DOOR-2 3'4 X 6'11
