Benchmarking is defined as a structured comparison between similar products, services or processes on some dimensions of performance against those industries known to be leaders in one or more aspects of their operations. It can also help the industries identify areas, systems or processes for improvements like – either incremental (continuous) improvements or dramatic (business process or re-engineering process) improvements.
Incremental quality improvement vs benchmarking breakthrough
Process od benchmarking operate at several levels:
- Between similar processes in the same factory or service branch
- Between different factories or service branches
- Between different competing organizations
- Between different sectors using the same process
In the case of Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii , he needs a car which can drive to his office. Traffic and crowd is a major concern as he lives in Bangalore and even needs a 5-seater as he drives to his natives monthly with his family. His budget is in the range of 8 lakh to 10 lakh on road and he is also fond of big cars.

CONCLUSION:
According to me Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii can go with Sedan type Maruti Dzire as it provides a better mileage , big cargo space, automatic transmission type which is a plus point for crowded city like Bangalore and more important thing is that it fits for his budget.
