2. The length of the rail is about 1000 mm. calculate the time takes for a shock wave to travel from one end of the rail to the other.

The length of the rail=1000mm
Find
Time=?
Δt=1000/5188.74521662771.
=0.19272482233ms.
The time takes for a shock wave to travel from one end of the rail to the other( Δt)=0.19272482233ms.
3.Time for sound to travel the length of rail=____
Time for sound to travel the length of rail(Δt)=Lenght of the rail(L)/Speed of sound(C)
Δt=1000/5188.74521662771.
=0.19272482233ms.
Time for sound to travel the length of rail(Δt)=0.19272482233.

Assign this value in the engine file (/ANIM/DT) as shown below.

OBJECTIVE:-
To perform the Tetra mesh on housing and Hexa mesh on arm bracket and then create 1D elements on two surfaces by using Hyper Works 2021.
GIVEN MODELS:-
→Housing
→Arm Bracket
→1D elements
PROCEDURE:-
HOUSING TETRA MESH
1.Import the file into hypermesh -select→import→import model.
2.Click on the files select model and click on import.
3.set the geometry colour mode Topo.
4. By changing the geometry colour as shown below.
5.Next go to the main menu bar Select→2D→Automesh→Surf→Element size→Mesh type→Mesh.
6.How mesh apply as shown in the figure.
7.Completing the 2D mesh goto main menu bar Select→3D→Tetramesh.
8.Click on the tetramesh and first select tetramesh parameters in this change the value of tet collapse 0.15 is given in this assignment.
9.Next go to Tetra mesh Select→elems→Mesh.
9.Press on the elems select displayed as shown in fig.
10.By pressing this option the total displayed surfaces are selected as shown below.
11.Next hit on a mesh the 3D tetra mesh will be generated.
12.Mesh is generated or not checking by using the mask or press F5. Select the elements and click on the mask as shown below.
13.Next hit on the mask see the geometry the 3D mesh will generate as shown below.
14.Next click unmask all the geometry will coming to its position.

15. Next go to check elements press F10 it displays shown below.
16.Next goto delete the 2D elements Select→Delete→elems→delete entity.
17.By pressing the delete entity all 2D tria elements are deleted in geometry.
ARM BRACKET HEXA MESH
1.Import the file into hypermesh -select→import→import model.
2.Click on the files select model and click on import.
3.set the geometry colour mode Topo.
4. By changing the geometry colour as shown below.
5.Make the current component boss and hide all surfaces as shown below.
6.Next go to 2D mesh and mesh one side of the geometry.
7.Goto main menu bar Select→2D→Automesh→surf→Element size→Mesh type→Mesh.
8.Click on the mesh it will be generated as shown below.
9.Remesh the triangle areas and removing all trias.
10.Next go to 3D and select the line drag as shown below.
11.Click on the drag the Hexa mesh will apply as shown below.

12.Next arm curve makes a current component and surface on the tab bar.
13.First taking arm curved midpoint by using nodes as shown below.
14.Next go to 3D and select spin as shown below.
15.Click on the spin- the elements are spined as shown below.
16.Next arm straight make a current component.
17.Next go to tools and select the faces as shown below.
18.I have only one side of the elements so deleting other elements as shown below.
19.Mesh the arm straight side with same as it is above elements will coming in arm straight.
20.Next go to 3D and select linear solid as shown below.
21.Click on the solids it is coming like this.
22.Next delete the faces on the tab bar.
23.Next boss make the current component and 2D mesh generating the boss.
24.Next toggle the lines and goto 3D select solid map as shown below.
25.Click on the mesh Hexa quads are generated with connectivity as shown below.
26.Delete the 2d elements as mentioned above component as it is to delete the 2D elements.
1D element
1.First import the model as mentioned above components like.
2.next create the surface on an empty plate by using surface select ruled.
3.Next go to 2D mesh on the two surfaces as shown below.
4.Next go to 1D select connectors as shown below.
5.Click on the create it will be created as shown below.
6.Repeat these steps I am creating springs and plots in between two surfaces.
RESULT:-
Thus, I am completing 3D tetra mesh, Hexa mesh and creating 1D elements successfully done on given components by using Hyper Works 2021.
