1. Explore the GUI of GT SUITE and list down modules available with a brief description.
GT SUITE is a 1D simulation tool developed by Gamma technologies. GT-SUITE is the industry-leading simulation tool with capabilities and libraries aimed at a wide variety of applications and industries It offers engineers functionalities ranging from fast concept design to detailed system or sub-system/component analyses, design optimization, and root cause investigation.
GT-SUITE is widely used in many industries across the globe. Its customer base is comprised of all types of vehicles propelled by engines and electric motors. This includes On-Highway Vehicles, Off-Highway Vehicles, Marine and Rail, Industrial Machinery, Aerospace, and Power Generation.
GT suite provides a comprehensive set of multi-physics component libraries which simulate the physics of fluid flow, thermal, electric, magnetic, mechanical, multi-body, chemistry, structural, controls etc.
The home screen of GT suite:
The modules available in GT suite are
1. Flow
2. Mechanical
3. Thermal
4. Electromagnetic
5. Control
6. External model links
7. Acoustics
1. Flow module contains templates like General flow, Turbines, pumps, compressors, Engine (GT-Power), Exhaust After-treatment, Heat exchanger, A/C or waste treatment recovery, cooling, Fuel injection, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, lubrication, GEm3d/cool 3D. These help in designing both off-road and on-road vehicle engines. which includes turbochargers and after treatment.
2. The mechanical module contains templates like General kinematics, 1D translational, rotational mechanics, 2D 3D mechanics, transmission, crankshaft, camshafts valves, valvetrain etc. These help in defining the geometry of the engine and used to define various parameters that involve the working of the engine.
3. The thermal module contains templates like General thermal and Engine structure to study thermal /heat transfer processes happening.
4. The electromagnetic module contains templates like Electric, magnetic, electromagnetic.
5. Acoustics, Other systems also used to study noise and other properties
2. Locate the following settings:
3. Explore intercooler tutorial and note down all settings of:
