Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
Aim: To download the following cad data & define it as Electrical support using an Electrical Part Design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Solution:
1) P Clamp -

Cable clamps are add-ons for twine and cable. They are used to package deal, clip, clamp, label, guide, and shield wires and cables. Clamps play a critical position in the setup and preservation of cable systems. Cable clamps are used in home production, car, rigging, and lots more commercial and production packages. The clamps are available in extensive types sorts and sizes.
The form and size of the object or machine are secured. The most diameter refers back to the maximum diameter of the package deal of wires and cables. If the clamp is greater than the conduit overseas count can input the gap between the 2 portions can reason harm due to abrasion. If the conduit is larger than the clamp deformation and strain can occur on the mounting foot of the clamp and potentially ruin the clamp.

1. Create MIDPOINT
a. Go to Part Design to define points and planes

b. Create a point by selecting the following

c. From both ends create a mid-point

2. Create planes (Entry and Exit sides)
a. Create planes by selecting the following

b. Do it on the other side as well

c. On base too

3. Go to Electric Part Design

4. Define it as Support Part

a. Select the entry point, entry plane followed by exit plane and base plane.

b. On the other side too

5. Add it to Catalogue
a. Go to Files --> New --> Select Catalogue --> Define catalogue name and add family to it.
b. Select Store Device --> Go to Catalogue saved destination folder and select it --> Select Family.

2) Tyco 1738312 -

A backshell is a mechanical device threaded into the rear of an electrical connector. The more popular back shells are strain relief, cable clamps, and adaptors. The SUNBANK brand offers a wide range of standard and customized back shells for the aviation and defense markets. Backshells protect the electrical connector and the cable link from physical stress (strain, shock, vibration) as well as electromagnetic interference that can occur when lightning strikes an aircraft.

1. Repeat the steps above, Create a point, axis, and all the mandatory things.
a. Create a point.
b. From the front end too

c. Create an axis for the Backshell connection point.

2. Define it as Electric Part Design

3. Define the part as Backshell

3. Define the part as a Backshell connection point.

4. Define backshell Connection Point parameters

5. Define Bundle Connection Point

6. Add the part to catalogue.

3) COT Tubes -
The corrugated Tube is bellows shape and flexible, used for protecting the wire harness. It is used for cars, construction machines, farm machines, consumer electronics, houses, etc. We also develop functional products, improve the global supply, and increase the size and color of products. We have worked hard to be the No.1 maker for customers.

Conclusion:
The required dimensions for COT tubes have been created, and CAD parts have been successfully given electrical properties. Each part has also been added to the appropriate catalog documents for future accessibility.
