Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
Aim
To define the given part as electrical support and give necessary properties.
Clips
this is another important component of wiring harness which should be defined before wiring harness routing .
Defining steps for clips
- Get the clip 3d part
- Define the geometry parameters
- Define part as support
- Define entry and exit plane
- Define base plane
- Define exit plane
Important parameters are required to define the clips
- Entry poiny and plane
- Exit point and plane
- Base plane

Backshell
Backshell are plastuc molded parts used at wire entry side of connectors either for protection or to improve aesthetic / appearance of harness .
It have two types
- L shape
- straight
Defining steps for backshells
- Get the backshell 3D part
- Define the geometry parameters
- Define part as backshells
- Define bundle connection point
- Define connection point

Protection covering
Corrugated tubes, convolutes, sleeves and many other types of coverings are used to protecting the wiring harness from physical and environment effects.
Graphical representations of coverings are applied on the bundle.
Creation of protection covering.
- Create covering 3D part
- Create catalogue for coverings
- Add new part in catalogue
- Apply covering on harness bundles from catalogue
