Week 9 - Project - Master Section Development
DESIGN OF B PILLAR COVER:
The objectives of this assignment are to
1. Create the main Tooling axis for the part and the Lifter axis for the Dog house.
2. Create the flanges, the B surface and the C surface from the master section.
3. Create different engineering features like the Dog house, 4-way locator pin and the ribs by following the master section provided to us and also complying the design rules.
4. Perform draft analysis on the Class A surface, Final component and the different engineering features on it.
CREATION OF TOOLING AXIS:
- The Tooling axis is the most important thing that should be created before designing other features.
- Tooling axis provides the direction in which the tool moves and in which direction proper draft angle must be given.
- To perform draft analysis the Tooling axis must be present as without the Tooling axis draft analysis is impossible.
