GEOMETRICAL SETS AND TREE STRUCTURE OF CLASS A SURFACE AND TOOLING AXIS -

GEOMETRICAL SETS AND TREE STRUCTURE OF CLASS B SURFACE -

STEPS-

1. Firstly offseted Class A Surface about 3mm inside. Due to offset patches has being formed in the offseted surface.

2. To obtain the Upper surface without patch we have use Multiple Extract Definition to Extract only the upper edge of the bumper.

3. Similarly we have extracted the lower part without the edge fillet.

4. Used Extrapolate definition command to extend the Upper edge surface.

5. Extrapolated the Lower part of bumper as well. To extrapolate properly in One go, we have used firstly Boundary command and created boundary on the lower part surface of bumper.

6. After extrapolating the two surface which has propeer intersection in between we have used Trim Command to Trim excess surface.

7. Similarly, we have used the all steps to solve the Middle Grill patch and Number plate patch.

8. In this we have used another approach to extract the surafce from the Class B surface.

9. Join command we have used here in this Sub elements to remove the unwanted surface from bumper.

10.Thus, we have followed all the steps to Solve the Patches in the Bumper surface.

GEOMETRICAL SETS AND TREE STRUCTURE OF CLASS C SURFACE -

1. Using Boundary command in the selescted area to use Swept command properly.

2. In this we have used Swept Command with use of (with reference surface) as well as in certain cases we have use (with draft reference) to give an angle of 3 degress to the swept surface.

3. For Intersection with the swept surface properly we have Extrapolated the surface 4-5mm.

4. Lastly using Trim command to Remove excess surface or unwanted surface.

GEOMETRICAL SET OF FINAL TRIM -

In Final Trim we have used Trim Command to Trim the Class B surface and Class C surface to obtain the Final Trim Surface.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF BUMPER

CLOSE SURFACE OF BUMPER -

CONCLUSION

Thus we have designed the car bumper in CATIA V5 with all the proper steps and Geometrical sets using part design and generative shape design.
