Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1
ATTACHMENT OF B-SIDE FEATURES
Aim
- To create a closed body for the given Class-A and attaching Ribs and Screw Boss to The Body according to the Design Rules.
- First we are going to check the Class-a surface such that there are no patches in it and then we can find the tooling axis.

CLASS-A SURFACE

TOOLING AXIS
- We are going to take normal line to the surface and take it as tooling axis.

CLASS-B SURFACE
- The Class-B is created from offsetting the Class-A surface and we will sole if there are any patches and we will solve the issues by extrapolating and trim to get final B surface.

CLASS-C SURFACE
- The Class-c serface is created by Sweep method along draft direction at 3° and reference surfac at 90°.

FINAL SURFACE
- The final surface we get fromn the Class-a,Class-B and Class-c by Trim operation.

CLOSED SURFACE
ISOMETRIC VIEW

RIBS &SCREW BOSS
- We create the Ribs & Screw boss according to the design rules.

DRAFT ANALYSIS ON RIBS AND SCREWS
- We perform draft analysis on ribs and screws so that it clears the all molding features along the tooling axis to avoid sinkmarks etc..
- The draft angle is between 0°-0.5°.
